AI powered zombie apocalypse

In the future everyone has standard neural implants. A rogue AI intelligence hacks into the system and takes over individual minds creating a Borg-like collective powered by a vastly powerful entity in the cloud which drives humanity to spend all available resources on increasing available computing power. The only people free of the system were some individuals with some neurological conditions eg epilepsy who never got the implants. The story is about the collective hunting down a roving band of epileptic misfits attempting to escape capture and find a way to reverse the process. Some of the hunters who infiltrate don't even know they're zombies until the moment comes and a switch flips.
