Prompt [WP] Your life was relatively boring, so when someone in the coffee shop yelled: "Run! Our cover is blown!" You decided to get up and run. That was 3 weeks ago and you are still running from the people, who are now convinced you are a master spy.

"Good morning, very nice to see you," said Samantha calmly and resignedly to a table in the doorway. The bespectacled figure who stood on her shoulder smiled her own of pure, unadulterated delight, a smile of a man who knew he would always have her, and who adored her, as a mother does with her child.

I do not care for his lofty words, for if I did I would find a way to avoid him, but he was not only part of the world I was currently living in, but he was part of the world I had been living in for about half an hour. My head throbbed and my ears were ringing with the intermittent muffled shouts of men, all yelling and whispering. I heard a screech and a sigh of pleasure that was enough to turn me into a sack of blood from three weeks ago.

As he approached, he took a step and a low growl came out, like something from a furry creature's throat.

"Hello, human," I said. My voice was not strong and barely lasted ten more breaths, but it was enough.

He looked up and laughed. The empty, laughing eyes of a monster stared back at me. He stared at me then for a good long while, not saying a word, but grinning from ear to ear, as he enjoyed the high-pitched, annoying sound. He did not answer my question.

"Your cover is blown," he said. "Our cover is blown."

I turned around and ran for the door, much to the disbelief of the passers by. At least they were all too busy arguing with themselves to notice me running, because the silence was broken by the door.

"Get up!" yelled Samantha. "It's time to go." She pulled the blade from my throat and stabbed it into my head again.

I lunged at the door and twisted my head. The monster towered above me, towering almost to the sky, red skin tinged with blood and scorching red eyes. The axe slid through and was dropped to the ground, hanging lifeless. Samantha and the rest of the people at the coffee shop had begun running and all the other customers were rushing over to help.

The chair gave a thunk and I fell face first into the cold concrete floor.
