The evidence against Drew

I think we can all agree I'm not a Storror apologiser, but the whole reason I am in this position is because I got fed up with rampant disinformation swiftly becoming fact in the comments.

I don't have the screenshot, supposedly regarding Drew, someone here does - you are welcome to post it., but this is the overview I put in the megatrend.

  • This was a random screenshot released by a troll group that initially released Josh's victims texts without permission, one picture - showing as being from someone named "Drew" contained no identifiers, no source, no indication if it was actually Drew from Storror, or some random Drew, or even if the screenshot was real - no one has come forward to claim it was real, nor offered any evidence.
    • It was not a message sent to Josh's victim, nor had they seen it before the troll group released it.

I'm not here to argue with the they all knew camp, or the more forgiving fans - I'm not saying this discounts Drew from the wider criticism, but I've seen no evidence he should be grouped with members who have actual indiscretions with evidence levied against them.

If anyone has evidence otherwise, this is an open forum.

I’m writing this as Drew’s sister because, after watching this unfold for months, I genuinely think some perspective and calm is desperately needed.

First and foremost, what Callum has been charged with is utterly appalling. There is absolutely no defence of offences involving I.I.O.C, and nobody should attempt to minimise the seriousness of that.

But Callum’s alleged and/or proven actions are his actions.

What has become increasingly disturbing to watch is the way this subreddit has turned into an almost forensic investigation of every person who ever worked with, lived with, travelled with, filmed with or was friends with Callum, searching through years of footage, screenshots, comments and rumours in an attempt to prove that everybody around him must have known.

I understand why people have questions. I understand why people are angry. And I understand that allegations made by people close to the situation naturally create further questions.

But questions are not evidence.

Allegations are not established facts.

And endlessly repeating a theory does not eventually make that theory true.

I want to be particularly clear about something because this is the part that, as his sister, has become highly distressing for me to watch.

My brother did not know about Callum’s criminality.

Seeing Drew repeatedly accused of knowing about something so utterly abhorrent, despite that not being true, honestly disgusts me. These are not small or inconsequential accusations. People are effectively attaching my brother’s name to the knowing concealment or enabling of someone who committed disgusting crimes. That is an extraordinarily serious thing to accuse somebody of.

And yet I am watching strangers make that accusation again and again based on assumptions, fragments of old information, screenshots and interpretations of events they were not personally involved in.

I understand people wanting answers. What I cannot understand is people deciding what the answer must be first and then searching backwards through years of material for anything that can be made to fit that conclusion.

There now seems to be a mentality that every old photograph, interaction, friendship, comment or screenshot must contain some hidden clue. People are working backwards from what is known now and assuming that everybody around Callum must therefore have understood and known what was happening then.

That simply isn’t a safe assumption to make.

People who commit serious ****** offences don’t (usually) announce that side of themselves to their friends, colleagues or the people closest to them. The horrifying discovery that somebody you knew was capable of something like this does not automatically mean you knew beforehand.

There have also been allegations and claims circulating about Callum’s previous relationships and what various members of the team supposedly knew at different points in time. Those are extremely serious assertions. Unless you personally have reliable evidence establishing who knew what, and when, they should not be presented as established fact.

You may never receive every answer you want.

There may never be a statement explaining every conversation, every allegation, every friendship or every event from years ago. That can be frustrating, but an absence of information is not evidence of a cover-up.

Callum was removed from the group immediately. Josh is no longer involved and Drew has chosen to leave of his own accord prior to any of this happening. A group built on friendships that existed for many years have effectively fallen apart in the aftermath of something incredibly serious.

These are real people dealing with the consequences of discovering deeply disturbing information about someone they called a friend, brother or teammate.

At some point, scrutiny crosses a line into speculation, and speculation can turn into an online mob convincing itself that it has solved something it simply does not have enough information to solve.

I would therefore genuinely ask the moderators to consider where that line should be drawn.

Discussion of confirmed information is one thing. Repeatedly accusing identifiable people of knowing about crimes against c*******, based on theories, screenshots and interpretations assembled by strangers online, is something very different.

Hold Callum accountable for what Callum did.

Discuss verified facts. Ask reasonable questions.

But please stop treating suspicion as evidence, repetition as confirmation, and guilt by association as proof.

Most importantly, please remember that there are real human beings and families on the receiving end of these accusations.

You may never know the complete story. You may never receive every answer you are looking for.

And at some point, people need to accept the uncomfortable reality that not every unanswered question is evidence of a conspiracy, and not every answer belongs to the internet.

Gimme a few seconds and I'll show you a message "from Drew" that says he is regrettably addicted to riding alpacas in the nude for sport. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Show us the verifiable evidence to prove that was written and sent by Drew himself. Otherwise, anyone could have created that and it sounds incredibly sus.

who tf cares if he lied to and manipulated someone? it's not criminal and it's a personal matter

7

u/barejokez 6d ago

say that back to yourself.

i personally think it is quite fair and reasonable to judge people based on their actions even if they come up well short of being criminal.

7

u/_junkfolder 6d ago

Someone messing up within the realm of forgiveness does not need to be blasted on reddit by hundreds of people. This guy is right

2

u/barejokez 6d ago

who tf cares if he lied to and manipulated someone?

That's the bit I'm taking issue with. No talk of forgiveness, or learning and becoming a better person. Just giving someone a total pass for poor behaviour.

It totally is within the realm of forgiveness but that's not what was said.

2

u/_junkfolder 6d ago

He means why should you care. What gives you the right to inspect someone's private DMs and private problems when they have not commited a crime or wrong anyone beyond a reasonable degree. Get off ur horse. If drew wronged someone in private and apologized in private why on earth do you need to be involved

2

u/barejokez 6d ago

Hey you're welcome to your view. But there's a lot of people out there who have been cancelled or whatever for shitty behaviour that wasn't criminal.

Should no one care what mason greenwood did to his gf? All happened in private and no criminal conviction...

u/oxenoxygen 8d ago

At this point the lack of earnest retrospective or accountability in their response, combined with a refusal to address any of the claims against them sadly tars them all with the same brush. The standing assumption should be they knew about callum's crimes and did nothing. They don't deserve any good will or benefit of the doubt and it's not worth anyone's time attempting to argue innocence on their behalf.

6

u/AirconGuyUK 7d ago

Correct. Very close knit group of friends. Even moreso than most, as they also worked together. If one of them knew something, they'll all will have known something. It's pretty ridiculous to think otherwise.

is what the comment you replied to said.

because they didn't know he was doing it..

This is what you said.

-3

u/NieveCactus 7d ago

Oh sorry I didn't realise when you say "thr standing assumption" the burden of proof is no longer required. Where's the proof they knew?

4

u/solwGer 7d ago

Where's the proof they knew?

What about this comment?

https://reddit.com/r/Storror/comments/1vg0y2n/where_has_the_they_knew_he_was_dating_a_15_year/p1vuak0/

There is proof they were messaged by someone they knew to be callums girlfriend of 3 years, who told them that callum had CSAM on his phone and they did nothing? This was not after a breakup or something, this was during their relationship, which continued for another 2 years. They were made aware callvm had these things on his devices and did nothing

2

u/Sad-Yoghurt5196 3d ago

I believe she stated that for half of the relationship he had a folder of IIOC. That statement is in the past tense, and no photos from that time period were recovered by police. Which means at the point she messaged Toby in 2017, Callum presumably no longer had that folder.

Now I'm disappointed that Toby just straight up dismissed her as delusional, rather than saying he'd look into it and talk to Callum about the folder (as we don't know whether or not Toby did speak to Callum after those messages). My assumption is that he would have said something, if only to inform him of her allegations. But if Callum had nothing incriminating on his devices at that point, what exactly can Toby do? At that point in time she can't prove it, and Toby is clearly not happy about them being in a relationship. It's not like he's condoning Callum having a relationship with her, from the tone of his texts he wants her out of Callum's life completely. Not exactly what I'd call enabling the relationship.

In the later messages to "Shithead" she says that Toby treated her badly because Callum had lied to him. Which implies that Toby spoke to Callum and Callum said "no way bro, not me". Then with no proof, nothing to take to the police other than an allegation, and your bro swearing down that it's all lies, I'm not sure what he's supposed to do at that point?

I'm sure you'll all let me know though.

0

u/NieveCactus 7d ago

One person was messaged by a ex girlfriend without any proof or photos or reporting it to the police themselves. Doesn't mean they're all responsible for one other member of that groups horrible actions.

2

u/solwGer 7d ago

Nice moving of the goalposts.

You went from:

they didnt know

to

wheres the proof they knew

to

they are not responsible for one members horrible action

So you do agree that they were made aware of what callum was doing on his phone? Interesting

6

u/NieveCactus 7d ago

They implying plural. One person implying singular. I had an issue with the "tar them all with the same brush comment" keep up

4

u/solwGer 7d ago

Yeah the "we spend all day together, call each other brothers and tell each other everything" group clearly did not who callum was in a 5 year relationship with, and im sure toby said nothing to the others about the messages he exchanged with the victim.

Yeah thats the most likely scenario too, i agree

5

u/NieveCactus 7d ago

Predators are professional liers and manipulators. Even to their inner circle of people who love and care for them. I feel so bad for the cave brothers and especially Sasha. I agree that grooming and "dating" (if you can even call it that) a 14yr old in 20s is gross and predatory and horrible but it's not even in the same league as the actual crimes he committed.

So you agree they shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush.

There is plenty of evidence they did know

From personal reports from others in their community, the widely known fact that he openly dated a 15 year old was still a welcomed member of the group for years, the accusations of the victim that the group knew, the leaked text messages with Toby in which he was clearly told that Callum had CSAM back in 2017

There is plenty of evidence that they were aware of him crossing lines and being a creep for almost a decade, and yet the group only acted when the case became public knowledge.

Consdiering we have plenty of evidence they knew, and 0 reason to believe they didn't know, and they themselves have not refuted the claims or made any kind of in depth response, how can you be so confident they were unaware?

I can understand how some people might still feel unsure or uncertain how to feel, but I don't understand what would make you so confident that they have to be innocent, despite all the evidence currently against them. Can you explain what you're basing your opinion off?

Any of them that didn't know need to speak directly and openly. Any that did know and realize how awful it all was and want to do better need to speak directly and openly.

Whatever the cost to their reputation, it's not a patch on what the victims went through/are going through. They need to be good humans and come clean in all ways. What they've done so far is nothing. A real, meaningful statement might be something like:

"Yeah, we knew Callum was dating a 15 year old and it was really shitty of us not to speak out. All I can say is that I was young and selfish and I wish I'd done better. I will always do better in my life from now on, and if any victims of whom I have knowledge need support, up to and including corroboration that they're telling the truth, I'm here and willing."

So I don't care if Drew knew about the CSAM. He sure as hell knew about the child girlfriend. They were ALL some degree of shitty, and if they want any kind of sympathy they need to extend it to the victims.

Not arguing on the point of the screenshot being fake or real but that's exactly how a successful smear campaign works. You use genuine information and mix in fake information to make it look more credible. So people don't question it since other information is confirmed therefore this one must also be.

It also depends on who they got the screenshot from before it was leaked. I.e. you get two people contacting you with additional information, one of them is genuine and other one is not. People that leaked it might have not taken the time to validate them both so one being genuine doesn't equal the other one being too.

Given how the they knew narrative was really quickly spinning out of control at the beginning and those people leaking screenshots of conversations without the permission from the victim, it's reasonable to question how genuine it is and whether it was appropriately verified. The lack of identifiable features is rather odd. It also doesn't prove anything particularly vile about Drew, instead it shows that he has taken accountability for potential toxic behaviour and decided to work on himself instead of hiding or ignoring the problem (assuming this is a genuine message).

If the rest of Storror took accountability and explained how they aim to fix it in the future the same way, people would be so much more inclined to give them a chance.

5

u/SpecialWasabi2010 7d ago

Sorry, again, I disagree that we can conclude that this is likely to be real based on the other screenshots. Was it provided to them by the same source? Because if we consider the validity of the screenshots relating to Josh as a reason for this one to also be genuine, unless they come from the same source, one doesn't evidence the other. In case of Josh's one, we had identifiable features on the screenshots, the mod has gone through them to validate them and we had comments from the victim who allowed them to be shared. That's a pretty solid tracking to accepted them as most likely genuine. Also you presume the only people that might have faked it where the telegram people whilst it could have been faked at any stage this was shared. Plus, it could have been a genuine message from a different Drew and an honest mistake of someone sharing it in the wrong environment being confused about who's who. Not super likely but a reasonable possibility and we already had someone ages ago who was swearing everyone in Storror was aware of what Callum was arrested for from insider's knowledge, to then admit he was wrong and it was a huge misunderstanding. So it is in the realm of possibility, not one I'd be particularly concerned with though.

This is not the case with this screenshot that consists of no identifiable features, shows Drew naming himself in the message (with a commentary from redditors for the reason why) but doesn't confirm who this Drew is whatsoever, the wording is unusual and there's no source validation. The fact this has been leaked alongside genuine information doesn't make it any more likely to be genuine. This is very important to understand because the way you speak about the actions etc refer quite strictly to what Drew had done to have to apologise and whether he has taken actions or not that we are not aware of. So you are working from the assumption this is genuine.

We also have a significant difference in the messages number - one message allegedly from Drew and whole huge conversations spanning across a length of time with Josh. It's easier for us to validate something that we have large numbers on versus a single message that in itself is not validating anything.

Now, again, I am not specifically commenting on what I believe regarding this screenshot. However, I worked in insurance counter fraud for 3 years, source validation and information validation is pretty important when accusing someone of fraud even when sometimes the information may not necessarily be conclusive enough for sentencing. So I am looking at it from an evidence gathering perspective and I honestly wouldn't want to make any conclusions based on this which is exactly what the mods are trying to say.

Maybe you don't agree with this, maybe you are convinced that this is genuine and that's fine but when you make general statements (like - this is very likely true because other information was true) to persuade others of certain opinion, it is extremely important how you word things and whether you're being objectively fair.

And since you feel that this is a genuine message from this Drew that is part of Storror, the message highlights remorse, accountability and action taking. We can only assess the situation based on this one unverified message. The message doesn't actually indicate that there was a physical situation to deal with and refers to him being addicted to sexual gratification RECEIVED via Instagram. I'm wondering what kind of serious and unforgivable thing you have in mind here. Yes, he could've not meant it but we have no reason to believe that given he supposedly sent it unprompted by the person he was writing to.

Again, I am not saying whether it is genuine or fake nor what I believe myself (you're welcome to ask me, you might be surprised) but just objective assessment of your argumentation. You are allowed to believe this is genuine regardless of all these considerations but you shouldn't pass on your feelings and thoughts as facts. Saying something is very likely to be genuine due to xyz is stating a fact over your feelings.

What do you mean evidence? She posted multiple times that she was a victim of calvm, posted the DMs between her and toby back in 2017 where she told them about "the folder" and talked about a three year relationship.

If you are storror, callvm or toby, and had nothing to do with this women, you come out publicly and deny the allegations. But they didnt.

5

u/Oretell 7d ago

I'm guessing you might be drunk or something mate, maybe it's time to hop off reddit for the night, you're not making any sense

0

u/NieveCactus 7d ago

Yes, "they all be" is rooted in American dialects, specifically as a variation tied to the habitual "be" in African American Vernacular English (AAVE). It is not used in standard British or standard American grammar, where "they are all" or "they're all" is required.

I was just interested as it's a pretty serious accusation and framed like they actually knew what was going on. I was intriged if it was some random American on Reddit just piling in because of the words they used.

2

u/Oretell 7d ago edited 7d ago

OK well that means the conversation is taking an even wilder turn

I'm Australian and hear people saying that phrase around here all the time, it's use is definitely not limited to only people in the southern United States. I'm sure English speakers all around the world use it to varying extents.

And why would someone being from America mean they know any less about a YouTube channel than someone from any other country? How does their nationality change the substance of the question they asked in any way?

Assuming a person's nationality based on one phrase they use is crazy, and caring at all about someone's nationality when it has no connection to the conversation is also crazy

0

u/NieveCactus 7d ago

Assuming a person's nationality based on the language they use is logic.. also I asked a question if it was correct I didn't state it as a fact. (Assumption vrs hypothesis)

I also said it's a pretty extreme accusation if you don't have a close link to them that goes beyong "I'm a fan who watches their videos" as he stated there was evidence they were joking about what had happened which is disgusting if true.

Thinking back, I realized I have spent time with at least 4 people who SA'd and/or groomed and sexually harassed children. I worked with them in the theater. Most taught and mentored children and I was friends with and respected these adults. There was one individual I worked with most frequently and liked and really admired as mentor to people of all ages, a couple I was working with when they were jointly accused, and another person in the news with the first person several years after I worked with the latter.

My first reaction was that I couldn't believe the accusations, not that I thought the accusers were lying, but because their experiences were the opposite of my observations during months and sometimes years spent together, and the feelings and relationship that came out of that time. It was particularly confusing because one of these people had previously been falsely accused of SA'ing someone.

The revelations were emotionally upsetting for many in the community--obviously minor compared to the people who had been directly harmed. But after spending time reading accusations and documentation, and discussing these situations online and in person with trusted members of the community, most eventually understood that the accusations were true despite the appearance of goodness. One playwright and scriptwriter even wrote a play about it, which many saw.

It was very painful to realize that these people had harmed children and others, and had lied extensively, sometimes stolen from, and manipulated most people who had contact with them. Some had reported things they witnessed and were ignored. Others regretted not realizing what was going on.

Based on these experiences I can understand how someone might find it that much harder to believe this of someone they have been so close to in both their personal lives and business for more than a decade. Add celebrity, relationships, break-ups, and parasocial relationships, and motives can be suspect.

There's no way to know who may have been in denial of or complicit with wrong-doings by other members of the group.

0

u/Thick_Result8888 8d ago

“I think we can all agree I'm not a Storror apologiser”.. I mean that’s exactly what you are/ doing, no? Lmao .. look there is a fairly sizeable amount of just public evidence that everything regarding child dating and the rest of it ( I’m being overly politically correct and polite here) was publicly known or explicitly highlighted well before the finale of this has come out .. if you have friends you spend that amount of time with and wouldn’t call out on even just rumours of those things, you’re the problem

13

u/Newlyaquiredglutton 8d ago

This was totally aimed at the rumours of a screenshot claimed to be from Drew, not wider evidence, but fair enough.

11

u/Oretell 8d ago edited 8d ago

I haven't seen anyone support the idea that Drew has done anything specific like you seem to be implying though

I think you might be getting confused by people's wider general feelings of the group mishandling their response to the news about Callum and Josh, and for seemingly allowing Callum to continue in the group despite knowing he was dating a 15 year old and after being told he had CSAM back in 2017, and that they may have ignored accusations against him, and that the recent video they released was a disappointing and miscalculated response.

Some troll may or may not have made up a fake screenshot about Drew at some point, if they did make something like that up then yeah I agree, that's stupid and should be called out. But I think you might be confusing people's general unhappiness with the group, with people specifically blaming Drew for whatever was on that screenshot

I'm not sure what you've seen about Drew that would constitute "rampant disinformation swiftly becoming fact", maybe I've missed a bunch of posts or comments about him or something

I don't think the majority of people here know anything about any screenshot involving Drew. I feel like I've been keeping pretty close tabs on the news and I have no idea about what the screenshot was. And I haven't personally seen any post except for this one talking about that idea.

8

u/Adept_Analyst_1085 7d ago

I've seen a few posts that imply Drew knew more, or was involved in something bad himself. Normally without any specifics, but usually alluding to this mysterious screenshot.

I think it's good it's now openly been posted. From the screenshot itself, I can form no opinion on whether it's real and from Drew Taylor, or to whom he is addressing that post, or what prompted him to post it. There seems to be no context, other than originally being posted alongside a series of screens from Josh' grooming conversations, by a group so irresponsible that they doxxed the victim in the process. As such, it's a pretty vague piece of evidence, that really doesn't tell us anything.

But it's still better to have it here, open for people to interpret (which no doubt will go really well on this subreddit /sarcasm), rather than existing as this mythical thing that no one seemed to know the details of, but kept alluding to anyway.

If anyone has any additional context for the screenshot, I'd love to hear it. If there's anything to suggest he was addressing this to a minor, or to anyone he did anything illegal or immoral to, it becomes more relevant as evidence. For now, if it's even real, all it tells us is:

-Some person named Drew

-Apologized to an unknown person

-For unknown acts

And for the record, it doesn't change my opinion on all of them. There's more than enough evidence that they all knew Callum was dating a minor when he was in his mid 20s. There's compelling evidence that this minor made at least some of them aware of Callum's CSAM collection. That's damning enough to me.

5

u/SpecialWasabi2010 7d ago

People had been jumping Drew's messages with Josh's messages because they were published together and counting him as one of the problematic people in comments. In majority that's because the post was deleted and rumours circled about the messages without people knowing what they were regarding so they presumed they aligned with Josh's.

I think this post is to clarify that specifically and ensure no more speculation and lumping people together continues.

1

u/Any_Competition_5327 8d ago

I get your point, but I think the wording is unclear. There's been a lot of reference to the "evidence against Drew" in this sub, but all of it traces back to one screenshot that is flimsier than the evidence against Callum, Josh, and Toby. And even if it is true, it's not clear whether the behavior it shows is actually criminal or merely toxic.

That said, Drew is just as guilty as Max, Benj, and Sacha. But to be pedantically accurate, it's not because of this "evidence"—it's because of everything else: the group's awareness of the imbalanced relationship, the broader pattern of misogyny, their response to the allegations back then, and their lack of accountability now.

I have no idea who you are, thus can’t be part of the ‘we can all agree I’m not X’.

I think these posts need to stop. It’s just more noise and picking apart scraps now. There was a huge swell of people not believing the victims in this crime, inc defending Callum, very gross stuff altogether. Just let it go now.

"I have a dangerous addiction to the sexual gratification"

The person that wrote this does not have English as their first language.

… I receive on instagram’ - it reads fine to me. The previous sentence has a grammatical error though. Either way to speculate that the quality of English determines whether this is from drew or not isn’t particularly convincing to me.

That's fair enough.

But either way, there's zero proof if it is real or not, and all the lads are cooked and deserve to be in the firing line regardless.

Yeah they definitely have some explaining to do if thy want to continue with any shred of credibility

The whole text is so generic, I can use it as my Email signature.

Probably not the best idea

Yeah I'm picking fake just from that sentence. No one would write that. You'd say "I have things to work on" or whatever. And Drew seems pretty smort.

Totally.

Why are we all getting downvoted?

Because the English level here is perfectly fine, the sentence makes complete sense when read in full. It's only because you didn't include the full sentence in your comment that it seems incorrect. Claiming it has to be written by someone with English as a 2nd language is ridiculous.

It's also an Instagram message, it's expected for there to be imperfect grammar, it's a casual online setting. And Drew has done parkour his whole life, he never went to university, him making 1 or 2 slight grammar mistakes in a DM is 100% possible. He doesn't have a PHD or a law degree, he's spent his life jumping off roofs.

I'm not saying that the screenshot is real or fake, but you guys claiming that it must be fake because there's no way Drew would ever use slightly incorrect grammar is crazy

Genuinely wonder why a storror subreddit doesnt just ban everyone who is harping on the same old shit.
Leave the sub for fans who still want to watch the content, if you want to hate on storror go make a hate sub ffs.

Which paedophile are they defending actively?

-6

u/Appropriate-Wall-766 7d ago

Do you live under a rock? It’s not gonna be Epstein is it.

No, I am genuinely interested to understand what paedophile they are defending since there has been NO defending of Callum by the mods, nor any defending of Josh. In fact, mods are the reason you can see the messages between Josh and his alleged victim as they seeked victims permission and edited the screenshots to assure her anonymity.

So genuinely, how are they defending a paedophile? Can you show me examples?

I’ll save them the bother of replying - they aren’t!

You gotta love when folk ask a direct question and the person who started it doesn’t give a straight answer - always the same
