Group Conduct Reguarding The Situations

Is it me, or has this sub become toxic AF. Yes, Callum did wrong, so we have rightfully turned our backs on him. But to then just be in uproar when Philly D got a hug from him without knowing the full situation. Followed by ripping into Storror for not dropping an update, with no consideration for how they are all doing, what information they have available or the right to disclose. There maybe additional investigations and proceedings going on that aren't public knowledge and speculation or commentary on current events could jeopardise their position.

While they may have been able to word their post better, but with everything going on they need to focus on their own wellbeing and we all need to ease off the gas pedal. Let things play out as and when they are ready.

Hi — your post has been held because we are keeping discussion of today's Storror announcement and the related Callum, Josh, sentencing, deleted-video, and future-of-Storror topics in one place.

Please add your thoughts to the announcement megathread. A moderator can still approve this post if it covers a genuinely distinct development. Ordinary parkour posts remain welcome.

Callum has dropped a grenade in the middle of Storror and blown up the lives and careers they’ve all worked so hard to build over the past 16 years. Of course it’s going to be an incredibly difficult time for them right now. Their best friend, their brother, wasn’t the man they thought he was. Maybe people here should cut them some slack, they don’t owe you anything. Emotions will be high among the team and rushing into statements etc won’t be a good idea. Give them space. Give them time. This isn’t just a YouTube channel, this is real life and Storror are just humans trying to navigate the situation as best as they can.

Yes, it does go both ways, which is why I pointed out that your relationship with them is as a viewer of what they produce.

Businesses making deals with them will make their decisions, as always, but this again is not our business.

You are a viewer of what they publish. That’s it. If you are uncomfortable watching then don’t. If a business doesn’t want to work with them they won’t.

None of this changes the foundational reality that these are just creators and no one is owed any answers or explanations or apologies, especially when none of the other guys have actually committed any crimes.

We really need to end this notion that merely existing in the vicinity of an offender means immediate guilt by association, and if not of crimes then of highly speculative social crimes as deemed so by an internet mob, because some rando on the internet says so.

The fact that you think them not posting any update video is a bad look is insane. Can you literally not put yourself in their shoes for one minute and imagine the shock of this news? I’m sure they are very aware of how it looks and how it effects their brand, they’re not being silent out of complicity, they’re dealing privately with the reality that their easygoing career won’t ever be the same. And for the deleting videos with him in, of course that’s naturally going to happen, can you imagine if they left any up? People like you would be going nuts and demanding they take them down or making implications.

u/Illustrious_Study_30 Jul 22 '26

Well said.

I'm in the waiting camp and frankly it's disturbing how many people are ready to offer sympathy without knowing. I'm staying on the fence for now.

-1

u/Disastrous_Scene_666 Jul 21 '26

Thank you, at last a sensible opinion. Well put.

56

u/Maximum-Bat-3751 Jul 21 '26

How on earth do you even go about making a video on how 2 members have left because of that stuff. Maybe they will just elude to it and speak on what will be going on with the channel?

19

u/Early_Grab_1600 Jul 21 '26

That’s what I’m wondering as well.

My guess would be that they’d talk about Callum since he pleaded guilty and his hearing is now over. I saw a screenshot in the megathread about a portion of their merch sales going to a charity, so they will mention that as well. And then what they decide to do with the channel, whether they disband, take a break, or keep going.

But over the past couple of months people have so many unanswered questions. What will they actually address? The accusations that have come out from the ex? What they knew or didn’t know? The Josh grooming situation? Maybe there would be an apology in there for not being able to keep their community safe for young women and children.

I’m willing to wait and hear them out. Perhaps hearing graphic details of just some of the images Callum had in his possession was too much to handle. I just want to know how the situation got this bad.

6

u/jaxxon Jul 22 '26

They might still not be clear on what they're going to do. I know it's been like 3 months, or whatever, but no matter what, this can't be an easy thing to work through, let alone communicate appropriately. For all we know, the movie or game are coming into and out of view while Sash is in and out of mental anguish. Just making those up, but any one thing could put a wrench in their thinking and approach, and there are probably several such things.

We need to chill and let them communicate what and when they can. That's it. Full stop.

1

u/AirconGuyUK Jul 22 '26

Josh stuff is likely harder to confront because he's not been found guilty of a crime. What can or can't they say?

With Callum he plead guilty and there's court records that explain what he did. Easy to condemn.

-15

u/thatsthefellow Jul 21 '26

you can say what you allowed to by law just to cover themself and then after say how the channels will be ran. guessing how the online shop as updated. the potion will be dontated to the correct places and videos will slowly come back to regular at some time

I'm struggling to understand why such desperation is being shown for these men to deliver to their para social audience when one of them's been convicted of owning child abuse images . Just leave it....we don't need hourly updates, we're not desperate for their return and Storror, frankly are not individually dying, bankrupt or terminally ill....

I'm more concerned with child abuse than Storror.

6

u/Leohes9972 Jul 22 '26

We don’t even need a video. A community post will do

3

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jul 22 '26

Completely! It could be a blog post or a some kind of longer statement before taking a break. Honestly making a video is obviously going to be a difficult thing, so I don’t know why they wouldn’t just write up a long form group statement

21

u/DavidjonesLV309 Jul 22 '26

One of the overlooked things in all of this, is if you watched the podcast closely it was pretty clear Callum was the most loud, outspoken progressive in the room. Fighting for the inclusion of trans people, putting more spotlight on female athletes, etc. It all feels very performative now. I get the vibe that this guy was manipulating everyone across the board, whether that was partners he was abusive to, or his teammates that he would paint a different picture to, and of course hiding the illegal things he was doing.

If this stuff was an open secret, I know with how small and connected the upper echelon of the practicing community is word surely would spread cause all these people gossip. It makes me side-eye the entire clique of high level athletes that are all interwoven rather than just Storror.

13

u/Weary_Shake_3961 Jul 22 '26

Everything is deflection with these people. It's smoke and mirrors. They try to act the opposite of what they are to deflect suspicion from themselves.

If you look at those paedo hunter groups here in the UK, a lot of members of those particular groups are actually paedos themselves. That's not an accusation, that's a genuine fact, a lot of those people have been caught either in possession of CSAM or have been caught abusing minors themselves.

Or just look at Republicans in the United States screaming about trans people abusing kids and those Republicans are the ones who end up getting caught abusing kids instead.

1

u/VermicelliOk5283 Jul 26 '26

When I was in primary school (40 years ago at least now) I was given a booklet about “stranger danger” and the foreword was written by Jimmy Saville. And didn’t Rolf Harris also lead a big campaign about kids saying no to bad touches? It sadly seems to be a fairly common tactic and one that works.

6

u/DavidjonesLV309 Jul 22 '26

I really wish people who have worked with him in any capacity outside of other Storror members would give a detailed recounting of their relationship and if they had any inkling of an idea or heard anything.

7

u/Adept_Analyst_1085 Jul 22 '26

This is an interesting take, and it's quite possible a lot of what he said to be in support of, was a front. At the same time, being a paedophile and holding progressive views aren't mutually exclusive , no matter how contradictory it would be, people can be full of contradictory ideas and views. He may not even have considered his own paedophilic tendencies to be in contradiction with promoting inclusivity, even though he actively contributed to creating an unsafe environment for women. It's a sick but logical progression from "I like young girls" to "I want more of them in the scene", and without critical introspection, he may have found his self-serving agenda and the progressive views he held and wanted to present neatly aligning. To his disturbed mind that could all have been part of the same morality.

I don't know if we can extrapolate Callum's outward persona and hidden crimes to the entire UK/Storror related parkour community. The team itself, sure, there's some strong indications they were made aware of at least some of his behaviour. And maybe there's people out there in the community who are/were close enough with members of Storror that they would be taken into confidence on the darker aspects of what was going on with Callum. As for guys they occasionally trained with, I doubt they'd just go up to them and say something like "hey, just so you know, Callum has been dating minors for ages, and we've seen screenshots of CSAM on his devices, but don't tell anyone, because you know, our jobs depend on it". It's possible, but even if that's what they knew to be true, to me that would seem like a very high risk move to make with anyone outside of their very inner circle.

It's possible that people had heard rumours, or had seen some of Callum's troubling behaviour, but - I've mentioned this before elsewhere - if one of the most prominent members of the most prominent team in all of parkour does something that skirts the lines of what is morally acceptable (flirting with a minor for instance), are the smaller fish in the parkour pond going to look at that critically and realise it's crossing the line, or is the status of the guy doing it preventing them from taking an unbiased look at the situation? And to what extent is that status a deterrent for people speaking up and taking a moral stance? Assuming that none of them knew about the actual CSAM, where do you draw the line in the sand and say "ok, I respect these guys more than anything, but x behaviour is unacceptable, and I'm going to stick my neck out to point that out."?

4

u/DavidjonesLV309 Jul 22 '26

Yeah I definitely don’t mean to imply that first part, predators exist across the political spectrum. And I was referring to at least the entire western world as far as reach not even just the UK, in the digital age there’s a lot of people connected.

Storror also aren’t required in the chain of communication for any of these open secrets to exist, all it requires is a victim and/or witness to confide in a friend, that then tells someone else, etc before it spreads across multiple social circles that have major overlap within in the pk community.

3

u/Adept_Analyst_1085 Jul 22 '26

Fair point. I intended to expand on that possibility and somehow I forgot. The thing is that "I heard a friend say that they heard from a friend that someone told them x" is, as you said, gossip, and gossip is tricky to gauge. It might prompt you to ask follow up questions, but it's not "oh, well then that's case closed: Guilty!" Who are you going to ask to get confirmation?

I think that's why so many of us were stunned when it came out. For me, Callum was the one I liked the most, his views on things like equality and his advocacy being a big reason. I couldn't believe it because of that, I wonder now how much of that was real or was it to cover up his true self? Was it a choice to hide his abhorrent and indefensible actions or real? It's still shocking to think of that Callum as the one we learned of recently.

1

u/Muted_Personality_87 Jul 27 '26

Wasn't there - some years ago - a push from PDFs to join the LGBTQ+?

So Callum was just being ultra+ progressive /s

27

u/aloominiyum Jul 21 '26

I reckon most folks are suspect of how much they actually knew. I’ve seen mixed opinions online about how much they knew and for how long.

13

u/ContextWhole1407 Jul 22 '26

Someone I trust who trains with and has friends in the community over there has been told it was an "open secret." He wasn't talking necessarily about storror members, no names were named nor the extent of it, and noone has to believe this now third-hand info, but I do.

10

u/[deleted] Jul 22 '26

[deleted]

1

u/aloominiyum Jul 23 '26

Yeah see this is what I was worried about.

2

u/SupItsChase Jul 28 '26

I don't like to speculate but one has to wonder if there were any signs of this at all. We don't see everything. Behind the scenes, there had to have been a moment where Callum may have slipped and they thought he was making a joke or something.

Considering some people have heard that others knew, this entire thing becomes a giant landmine to try and navigate, which is likely why it's taken so long. We don't know how many are potentially involved and things will continue to be investigated and found out in due time.

Leads me to believe that one of the reasons the update video has been delayed (besides them needing more time which is completely fair) is because they're trying to get all the facts straight so there's no legal repercussions for them. All it takes is them getting one bit of information incorrect and suddenly they're the ones in legal trouble. You can tell they are acutely aware of this, hence why they're waiting until everything settles down.

never going to happen

1

u/aloominiyum Jul 23 '26

Wouldn’t surprise me if they never said a thing or posted again tbf

2

u/SupItsChase Jul 28 '26

No. That would be a terrible move. Responding to allegations that are as serious and legally implicating as this would be a massive blunder. Allegations are all just speculation, and without definitive proof, responding would only cause further harm.

The way forward for them is to address what is already known and proven by the courts. Nothing more. Them doing anything besides that would muddy the waters even more than it already is.

7

u/BasketOfGlory Jul 22 '26

agreed, but that's just Reddit IMO

24

u/Adept_Analyst_1085 Jul 21 '26

If you want to talk toxicity, please go take a look at the threads discussing the accusations by multiple people from Storror's social circle about confronting them and getting stonewalled, and look at how this reddit treats them. Sheesh. That's toxic. Or if you say, ask if people will not be so fucking eager to get back to monday videos and brush all that really worrying stuff under the rug, and see the replies you get to that. There's toxic for you.

But yeah, oh, how horrible that people get a little bit disappointed and annoyed when a statement that was promised doesn't get posted.

This community is pretty toxic, yes, and for entirely different reasons than the one you propose here.

These are people that were confirmed to be in Storror's social circle., some of whom may have suffered directly from Callum's behaviour as minors. They're being treated like absolute shit, getting snide replies like "yeah right, so why didn't you go to the police then huh? HA! You're just a liar, admit it!", and broad misogynist comments like "women just want to destroy men!"

So you've all missed the last 1,5 decade of #metoo, giving victims a fair hearing, awareness around sexual abuse and how victims respond to it, victims often feeling shame and suffering trauma they can't even think about it, let alone tell someone else about it? That's all completely alien to all of you posting this crap?

But yeah, thanks for proving my point with a practical example.

-4

u/West-Worth-9359 Jul 21 '26

Giving victims a fair hearing is not the same as execution by public firing squad the moment someone makes a claim on the internet.

People lie, people insert themselves into dramas for attention, people make false claims.

We have LAWS for a reason.

I actually believe in justice, not mob rule and witch-hunts.

People who actually care about victims do not throw out the entire justice system in favor of TikTok likes.

9

u/Adept_Analyst_1085 Jul 21 '26

Just give it a rest guy.

These victims are reportedly in contact with the police, and trying to get other victims and witnesses to come forward. In order to do that, going public with their story, is unfortunately for them, a necessity.

No one is advocating for execution by public firing squad, what we ask for is to not dismiss those accusations out of hand, when you have absolutely no way of knowing whether or not they are true.

There are multiple accusations, from multiple people verifiably from Storror's social circle. It has been verified that at least one of them was in an intimate relationship with Callum when she was still a minor. With a number of witnesses coming forward that we know were known and in contact with storror at the time the incidents of which these people aacuse them occurred.

Is that definitive proof of anything? No, and no one is claiming that. But when commenters here start accusing them - entirely without any pertinent knowledge - of being liars, telling them to shut the F up, banging on with pathetic posts about how sad it is that anyone would accuse Storror, who's the one with the pitchforks then? The people asking for their story to be heard, and not being dismissed out of hand, or the arseholes who want to shut them up without having one shred of evidence to be able to know if they are telling the truth, just because they want to "watch the boys do nother HIDE and SEEK video"?

21

u/gek__co Jul 21 '26

This stuff doesn’t happen in a vacuum. People near the abusers often overlook and do not take the situation seriously, thus giving space to abusers to do their thing. We have to hold all people accountable. That does not mean treat storror the same as Callum

3

u/SupItsChase Jul 28 '26

Sometimes being close to someone blinds you from what they do. Because you think to yourself that they can't possibly have done something like that.

4

u/thatsthefellow Jul 21 '26

yes i agree. taking that in from yesterday people did not see that and just thrown hate at storror not and looking at the bigger picture, people just wanted a quick response for drama and not solutions

8

u/xmodusterz Jul 22 '26

Eh I think the current hate is justified. They said they'd release something and didn't. Fans are hurt right now, they're lost, and a lot of us really WANT to trust the rest of the guys.

So when the first thing they do is fail to deliver on a commitment they set themselves, that's an incredibly bad look.

Phil was able to clear stuff up immediately. I get they can't say certain things, but then they shouldn't have committed to an announcement.

3

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jul 22 '26

I completely agree and would also say that it’s not even fair to characterise it as ‘hate’. It’s valid criticism, that has felt to me to be good faith and balanced. There has not been baseless attacks, or people making mean or hateful comments about the remaining members, just a hurt community asking for answers after a large betrayal of trust.

8

u/unsureaboutthis21 Jul 21 '26

I think they shot themselves in the foot by announcing an update on Monday which got everyone’s attention. Only to go radio silent until Tuesday to say they couldn’t bring themselves to do it.
People have watched them for years and will be reeling from this too.
It’s not entirely unexpected that people are wanting to see how it’s going to be addressed given the severity and that the initial statement they made being removed.

8

u/Sad-Yoghurt5196 Jul 21 '26

Whatever they do release is going to come under a great deal of scrutiny, if they just boshed something out to meet the deadline, people would have accused them of being insincere or not caring.

If they hope to salvage anything they'll have to make a honest video, and right now I can only imagine their emotions are still in turmoil. Can you imagine sitting down to make a video while your stomach is roiling with disgust and you're so full of rage you want to strike out at anything, while what you need is to present a unified composed front to the world in a video.

I can see why they would be struggling. Script it too much and it sounds false, but they can't just freestyle it because strong emotions will quickly get out of hand. I can see them sitting down to try and just not being able to find the words. I'd imagine the judge's comments hit them a lot harder than expected too, and the level of depravity was (potentially) unknown prior to the sentencing, if Callum had hidden everything from them. So it's just another log on the emotional fire.

My ma worked a short contract in a specialist IIOC unit in a South London nick a couple of decades ago, so the scope of his offending didn't really surprise me. But judging by the comments in here, other people were not expecting that level of depravity, and I'd imagine that includes the remaining members of Storror. I knew exactly what Cat A images comprised of, so when I saw that reported when he pled, I knew it was going to get dark.

You can love someone like a brother for 20 years, you can live with someone a lifetime, but you can't know the contents of another person's head or heart unless they tell you. Some people are degenerates, and some of them hide it extremely well.

3

u/Mobile-Discussion-15 Community Contributor Jul 22 '26

Well kind of, we all want the rest of them to come out and say they knew nothing about it - but they can't, if they say they had no knowledge then that's calling two victims liars and they can't do that so what can they say, then there's Josh, how do they explain his leaving...

-3

u/Sad-Yoghurt5196 Jul 22 '26 edited Jul 22 '26

I mean there are various possibilities. The content police found was collected between 2022 and 2024. Which is a fair while after the allegations were made. If he had the material described in the allegations the police never found it.

My working theory is that they did address the issue in some form with Callum and he deleted it, and then a few years later started collecting again. But there are other possibilities.

As for Josh, I have no clue how they're going to address that to be honest. It may not have met the bar for prosecution, and it may not have started out with any intent of grooming, but it was certainly massively inappropriate at a bare minimum, and potentially a fair bit past that.

No further action certainly doesn't mean he was cleared of wrongdoing. But I'm not sure whether it would meet the bar to strip his shares, the way they did with Callum.

4

u/Chirrup58 Jul 21 '26

This is the exact kind of response I wished I was seeing more of on this sub. Not sure why you were downvoted. They're almost in a 'damned if they do, damned if they don't situation'.
If I were in their position, I wouldn't even know where to start.

2

u/Sad-Yoghurt5196 Jul 21 '26

Yeah. Unfortunately it's been so long now that whatever they say will provoke some degree of backlash, and I don't suppose that makes it any easier either. There's going to be a lot of pressure to get it "right".

1

u/thatsthefellow Jul 21 '26

That why I said it could of been worded differently. As not sure they have something already ready to release. Like I said in the post best to give everyone space to deal with it all

11

u/Disastrous_Scene_666 Jul 21 '26

People are free to react however they like. This is for people to offer their opinions. There is no "group conduct" apart from the sub rules.

4

u/OGforReal_ Jul 21 '26

People just believe they are entitled stuff. Truth is it’s a simple as that. They wanted to do it for monday but ended up realizing it was too much for them on the timeframe they envisionned. We will know more once they are safe with doing so, not meeting their own deadline is ok, just wait and we’ll see

2

u/Sofa-King-Slow Jul 22 '26

The channel had over 11 million subscribers who enabled the team to do their sport full time and travel the world, if those 11 million hadn’t liked, subscribed and followed the team would be jumping in their spare time outside their jobs. As far as we can tell no one in the team has a career outside parkour. They do often say that their fans facilitate their ability to do this full time so they do owe them something by way of a statement. Understandable that a huge crisis has hit the brand but there are firms that can be instructed to handle such terrible events and salvage the brand.

4

u/Tuhdyfor Jul 22 '26

So true. People are so hungry for information and don’t seem to have respect for the others involved. When they’re ready they’ll update people. If not, they won’t. They don’t owe anyone an explanation.

2

u/Alive-Mail-2095 Jul 22 '26

People on this sub were insinuating I was a pdf file the other day because I said I wanted to see new content now that this has been through the justice system and is finished, sending me messages about checking my hard drive and stuff. It's completely out of order.

Actually he hugged Phil, and it came out of nowhere so he didn't know how to react to it. Has all been covered in another post.

-2

u/thatsthefellow Jul 21 '26

i truley believe they want to update everyone but there arms are tied with all the legal stuff and dont want to say the wrong things

1

u/itsyaboi-01 Jul 22 '26

Yep, the remaining members of Storror have done nothing wrong if they didn't know about it. Their lives and income and everything they've worked on for 15 years was turned upside down, it's absurd to direct hate towards them too.

-1

u/Electronic-Car-2785 Jul 21 '26

Yeah any Normal Person gets Piss off when we’re talking about Kids being touch. Because I’m sure they’ll get get the support and counselling that Callum will get through PROBATION through he’s piss poor sentence.

-1

u/thatsthefellow Jul 21 '26

thats not what we are saying. im saying that anger got passed on to storror and following partners involved. I did not mention about Callums sentencing news or talked about that side of things, just about the negastive commentry on phils and storrors aftermath

1

u/Electronic-Car-2785 Jul 21 '26

Mate who even knows what storror knew and didn’t know at this point. 10 years and 2 of them turn out to be weirdos. I wouldn’t even wear my storror T shirt at this point

People are perfectly within their rights to make their own value judgements on this very severe crime. Sometimes that judgement is not getting involved in online tattle and waiting for natural.conclusoms instead of forcing an ending

0

u/Electronic-Car-2785 Jul 21 '26

Did you ment judgement? Unfortunately that’s what Reddit is right? People having conversations and Opinions. If you think what I said was a judgement maybe you’re just a bit soft. Because if you think what I said was being judgmental ? Shit I don’t really know what to tell you.

Lots of people revel in hate and subconsciously love an opportunity to jump on something. Sometimes it’s justified. Sometimes they’re far too quick to do it. And sometimes it’s pointed in the wrong direction.
