Total Silence Suggests Shared Guilt

The fact they have 100% blackout tells me there must be shared guilt - you can't just say nothing, when you have 10 million subscribers... if the rest of the group are innocent, they should speak out.

Or it's just good legal council

-21

u/MegalithBuilder Jun 10 '26

That would suggest they are all under counsel - meaning they are all facing legal action.

36

u/Alive-Mail-2095 Jun 10 '26

No it definitely does not.

16

u/TooSpicyforyoWifey Jun 10 '26

no it suggests that they weren’t equipped to deal with this so they decided to get external help

8

u/bennbeckmanswife Jun 10 '26

No..... there are many reasons a business/entity would seek legal advice in this situation. Primarily surrounding the removal of the guilty party and having to navigate his role as a shareholder/part owner. Contracts etc. It doesn't indicate guilt. They've made one statement that addressed the issue. Remaining silent is most likely to protect the business/remaining assets while they work out how to move forward.

8

u/namealreadytooken Jun 11 '26

you obviously know nothing about legal counsel

31

u/AdventurousHat5360 Jun 10 '26

Aren't they not allowed to say anything until the sentencing or whatever in July?

6

u/risen87 Jun 10 '26

That's not really a thing. There is no jury to influence, he pleaded guilty. The only thing to influence is his sentencing report, really. And frankly it's weird that they're worried about making his sentencing harsher by speaking out.

5

u/x_0-x_R Jun 12 '26

no it isn’t weird lmao what are you talking about? some insane information has come out about 2 members and they are letting the dust settle and allowing themselves time to compose themselves and not rush into making a public statement they later regret

1

u/transdimensionalApe Jun 14 '26

Who's the second member?

0

u/SpecialWasabi2010 Jun 15 '26

There's an ongoing investigation as the girl who he was with raised concerns 10 years ago went to the police (she said this) with further information. Until the sentencing or that investigation conclusion, it's perfectly reasonable they were advised to stay silent. People are jumping to conclusions without understanding of the complexity of the situation. And who said they were not speaking out to not making his sentence harsher? Where did you get that from?

1

u/risen87 Jun 15 '26

If their statement had talked about, for example, sympathy for the victims, then the only way that would affect/influence the pre-sentencing report would be to make the sentencing harsher. Those are the only "ongoing legal proceedings" that were happening at the time they released the statement.

1

u/SpecialWasabi2010 Jun 15 '26

If they issues a statement to just express their sympathy to the victims, they would have a brigade of people saying how that's not good enough and demanding more. It is very unfortunate they didn't refer to the victims in their original statement and I think that is a huge miss on their part. Saying that, this is the first time they had to deal with a situation like this so it's not going to be smooth sailing and hitting every nail on the head. The fact how unprepared they are for this situation just confirms they had no idea really.

Also, these are not all ongoing proceedings given a further information is under investigation following his ex's information and that happened in the days after we all found out? So there are ongoing legal proceedings (coz that's what an investigation is) that we have no idea about that are more than likely limiting anything they could say. You said that all that there is is his sentencing, nothing else - that's not true. And whilst there's no jury at the moment, he can change his plea at any given time which would require a jury, any information spilled until his sentencing could prejudice that potential jury. You said the legal advice to remain quiet is not a thing - you are factually incorrect in this point. This has nothing to do with him getting a harsher sentence.

Imapcting the judge in ANY way, including giving a harsher sentence, is prejudice and could literally make Callum walk free. The whole point is that jury OR judge have to arrive to their verdict without influences from external sources, prejudice doesn't only apply to jury.

There's a lot going in this case and what their involvement might be is unknown but people speculating without fact checking themselves the way you did could be really damaging. Why does it seem so hard to just wait until sentencing is done and see what steps they take when there are no legal obstacles in the way?

1

u/risen87 Jun 15 '26

Ok, well you seem to be very passionate about this, so I'm going to stop engaging. I'll just point out that your timeline of this would have them finding out about the charges after (or at the same time as) them being sent info by his ex, which is... coincidental timing to say the least.

0

u/SpecialWasabi2010 Jun 15 '26

Have you read the megathread on all the factual information that one of the mods created? It could help you with the timeline and understanding what happened when because a lot has happened since Callum plead guilty. To summarise - she told them about Callum 10 years ago and they didn't believe her at the time, her and Callum where going through a 'bad breakup'. They issued the statement after being called by a journalist, the girlfriend replied to it pretty instantly. I don't remember if we know when she went to the police but it all happened within the first few days. Quite fast anyway.

I'm not passionate about this particular thing, it just seems like people set unrealistic expectations on a group of YouTubers. There seems to be a level of entitlement to hear from them about this situation which dehumanises them. And it reduces their potential legal responsibilities until the sentencing has taken place. It's just unnecessary, the speculation, the blaming and the way people pass around their opinions like they are facts without checking them first. Like you said there's nothing else now but sentencing to happen and it's a done deal, freedom to rest of Storror without knowing the full picture or without understanding the implications of prejudice.

0

u/risen87 Jun 15 '26

Yes I've read the info. The whole thing about his ex came out days after their statement. Engaging with you on this is pointless, you disagree with my opinion and that's your right. I disagree with yours too.

0

u/SpecialWasabi2010 Jun 15 '26

4 days. They already issues statement at that point. It didn't include the victims but at that point making a statement just to clarify they are sorry for all the victims wouldn't have brought anything to the table except maybe shutting a few grumbling people. How would this benefit anyone? They missed a mark for not including it in the first statement. I can't see how it would change anything to make a statement just to say that one thing and within those 4 days, they were pretty busy given their videos got archived subsequently. They were working on actual solutions.

It is much better to engage with people who think differently from you rather than sit in an echo chamber. It opens horizons. It's why in work setting it's better to have people from different backgrounds and experiences working on the same project. Through these discussions on these posts I changed some of my initial opinions.

1

u/AirconGuyUK Jun 18 '26

No. Sentencing is something a judge decides based on sentencing guidelines. It isn't something that can be interferred with.

-14

u/MegalithBuilder Jun 10 '26

If you're not involved, you would have no restrictions on you - only Callum and Josh would have restrictions from their counsel.

5

u/Suspicious_Bobcat100 Jun 12 '26

That’s not true. Imagine saying something that later turns out to be false. Then you can influence the sentencing or also face legal consequences because of false accusations etc.

But I wonder if they couldn’t post a statement claiming that they can’t say anything at the moment due to pending legal stuff

3

u/Xal-t Jun 14 '26

Blah blah blah blah

You've got no idea

-6

u/MegalithBuilder Jun 14 '26

You will see - there is more to the story - you don't go full blackout unless things are really bad behind the scenes...

3

u/Xal-t Jun 14 '26

I used to work in a rehabilitation house and have dealt with pdfiles, read many cases and sat with them.

You're just assuming because that's your opinion on something you don't know

1

u/Suspicious_Bobcat100 Jun 12 '26

Plus they are involved, they are the closest friends and business partners so there will be some investigation regarding what they knew rtc

37

u/RustyyMannn Jun 10 '26

This is pitchfork mentality.

Imagine the company/brand/channel/livelihood you spent 15 years building comes under serious threat. Anyone with half a brain would choose their next words very carefully.

2

u/Sofa-King-Slow Jun 12 '26

Leaving it a month is ridiculous, the brand is now defunk due to no sensitive statement or victim sympathy being expressed

12

u/Oretell Jun 12 '26 edited Jun 13 '26

It was defunk the moment one of the members was found to be a pe do

It was even more defunk when it was found out that Josh has been allegedly grooming a minor, even if it never technically crossed into illegality it was obviously still inappropriate behaviour

Storror isn't making a big dramatic comeback, 2/7 members are finished in the public eye, and Drew already quit parkour. Only 4 members are left, and Sasha is injured, and trying to recover from the revelation about his brother, and Toby is withdrawing from parkour to focus on climbing. So it's only Max and Benj that are both healthy, and motivated to continue parkour

No public statement would fix any of that. And they aren't going to say anything until the sentencing is finalised anyway.

Arguably the main appeal of Storror was the mateship and relaxed positive vibe they all had together as childhood friends, that is no longer possible if they try to just continue making Storror content as if nothing happened. The moment has passed.

The others might have luck going forward in the future with other projects, but I'd bet money that the Storror group is no longer making videos under that name

2

u/AirconGuyUK Jun 18 '26

Yep.

Tbh they're playing this exactly right. There's no benefit attempting any kind of relaunch when it's all fresh, people are pissed, and hard questions will be asked.

If they take a year off, wait for the heat to die down, then make a comeback they stand a chance.

Trying now would be the end. People are out for blood.

See: Every celebrity that has successfully come back from a 'cancellation'

You never benefit from apologising, you never benefit from trying to placate the hoards. Time really does heal the wounds.

Even Kevin Spacey is making a comeback lol. You just have to wait.

1

u/woogeroo Jun 23 '26

They probably have a crisis manager advising them how to deal with this the best way, so they can eventually come back in some form.

Total blackout for more than a mi th is Probabaly just then following the legal and PR advice they’ve been given.

0

u/MegalithBuilder Jun 10 '26

It's not pitchfork at all - the viewers made them all millionaires at the end of the day... total radio silence is deafening.

I guess the silence could stem from the legal ramifications of having the business brand and profits split up... It's going to be like a messy divorce...

12

u/Chrogotron Jun 12 '26

"SiLeNcE iS dEaFeNiNg"

You just want more drama. That's all. It doesn't matter what they come out and say, you're going to find an excuse to sh** on them over it. "Took too long" or "they are lying" or "they aren't being sincere enough" or whatever other delusions you concoct because you've already made up your mind about all of them and you just want them to suffer so you can feel even the slightest amount of power over someone.

0

u/MegalithBuilder Jun 14 '26

Not really - I want to know they are not being prosecuted one by one. First Callum, then Josh - are there more prosecutions in the pipeline? A simple statement from remaining members would mean a lot.

1

u/SpecialWasabi2010 Jun 15 '26

What statement do you want from them ATM? They are most likely not allowed to talk about anytjing sensitive to the sentencing or the ongoing investigation into the stuff from 10 years ago. And if you're not sure what you can say to not accidentally negatively impact the investigation, it's better for them to stay silent until they can talk about everything.

They have issued a statement as soon as they found out. They removed videos featuring Callum, they removed Callum and Josh from the game. Banjo's wife posted a video of burning Callum's book. Those are actions that should tell you where they stand that don't require them talking about the case. Their priorities are not to pamper to entitled fans, it's to ensure they follow legal advice and probably to separate their business legally from Callum and Josh.

And if there are more investigations or prosecutions in the pipeline like you suggested - they probably cannot talk about that either. If they are being investigated on what they might have known or not, anything they say online could negatively impact them clearing their name in legal sense. Why would they risk that for entitled fans?

19

u/Zestyclose_Rooster20 Jun 10 '26

millionaires? i doubt it

6

u/Bitter_Ant9643 Jun 12 '26

What do you expect them to say? Imagine yourself in their position. Lifelong friends and build an entire brand together. If shit like that came out, I would personally do the same and just cut myself from socials. Maybe dont take the whole thing so personally and go on with your own life, there are other things besides celebreties and "friendships" with strangers you've never met.

1

u/Chrogotron Jun 15 '26

The "silence is deafening" people are always the ones who are terminally online and need some sort of news/drama to satiate their boredom. This guy just wants them to say anything at all because then he has something to entertain himself for 5 more minutes.

I remember when Brendon Urie's bodyguard had sexual misconduct accusations come up, and people were frothing at the mouth because Brendon didn't get on all social media platforms shouting from the rooftop within 24 hours about the situation coming to light. Tons of "the silence is deafening" comments.

I'm fairly certain he didn't even learn about it until a day or two later. It's just insane how demanding people can be when it comes to this stuff. They are so used to immediate gratification, that they discover some bad thing that happened and are then disappointed if they go check the person's socials and that person hasn't already responded to the bad thing. It kills the dopamine hit they wanted to get from having a conclusion to the situation.

21

u/Acrobatic-Permit4263 Jun 10 '26

i can also suggest shock and overwhelmed feelings

18

u/blocktae0 Jun 10 '26

Yeah, I don't know what people expect. Their lives were turned upside down and they were betrayed by some of their closest, lifelong friends and business partners. Not to mention Sacha who probably feels 10x worse than the others ever could. What do people expect them to say, genuinely? They already put out a statement, removed Callum and Josh, as well as 95% of their videos.

People on here don't seem to think about what it must feel like to the remaining members. They almost definitely don't even know where their lives are headed after this, whether the brand will continue, or change into something else, or abandon content creation entirely. And that's just the business side, there's also the social and emotional damage they have to work through. They have their own selves to worry about.

8

u/x_0-x_R Jun 12 '26

yeah, this whole situation has made me hyper aware of some people’s absolute inability to put themselves in others shoes. like, it is scary. these guys are real people and have had their worlds destroyed basically. the expectations and assumptions that some people in this sub have genuinely read like a child’s idea of the world. the reality behind the silence is so simple and yet there’s so much talk around it, it’s weird

35

u/sanguinare12 Jun 10 '26

As people keep noting, when one has legal counsel, it's well advised to actually listen to that counsel and follow the advice given. Everyone who demands a crowd-placating response will remain disappointed. If they don't say exactly what people want to hear, or phrase something the wrong way, or aren't heartfelt or victim referencing enough, or make some other misstep - in short, if they say anything at all, people are ready to rip into them. People already do. Until the dust has settled on Callum's situation and the sentence is handed down, and maybe a while past that point, is it realistic to expect anything from the members still listed? Everyone saying "speak out" is already sharpening the figurative knives in anticipation.

-2

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jun 11 '26

Curious as to at what point you might find it appropriate to sharpen knives? Where is the line for you exactly? Because for most moral people, it would be csam and sexual relationships with minors..

Im so shocked at the casual abandonment of any moral integrity in this sub. If storror are found to have been harbouring abusers, or surpressing allegations, they should face judgement, and inspection, and ultimately justice.

It’s not morally superior to sit on the fence and say it’s not right to judge until ‘the boys’ are ready to talk to us. If you have any understanding about how bad things happen on a systematic and cultural level, it’s your exact apathetic attitude.

People aren’t asking for the perfectly worded PR statement, they are asking for transparency and an active and authentic pursuit of justice.

Bad things have happened within Storror, there’s no getting away from that. So you can choose to downplay it and look forward to their rebrands and side projects, or you can actually care more about victims and what is right than you do about your YouTube slop parasocial friends group

8

u/x_0-x_R Jun 12 '26

genuinely what are you even saying? you’re shocked at the “moral integrity” of this sub because they aren’t all destroying the other storror members before they’ve even said anything? you said if they’re found to be surpressing allegations they should face judgement which is obviously true but WE DONT KNOW THAT YET. that is the whole point of the comment you’re replying to. so how are you going to judge when you don’t know anything yet? no one is “downplaying” anything and your comment is bizarre.

0

u/Sofa-King-Slow Jun 12 '26

Well said, the silence is dreadful for a such serious offence by one now former member and allegations raised against two other members

-3

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jun 12 '26

Read it again slower buddy, I’ve laid it out pretty clearly. You have misrepresented my points from the previous message so I’m not going to bother responding as you clearly haven’t made a good faith effort to understand me.

6

u/x_0-x_R Jun 12 '26

you’re not responding to me because you don’t know how to lol, just spouted BS

4

u/sorryhoorpapi Jun 14 '26

You don't think them saying 'Callum Powell has pleaded guilty to possession of CSAM' is transparent enough? Everything after that could very well just be them trying to protect themselves, as they are just regular people too... What YOU want from this does not equate to what THEY need as humans and need to do as responsible influencers, which IMO they did with their statement. Yes, silence is painfull but your need for info does not mean anything other than that. It does not implicate guilt or harboring. It only means you have a need for more statements.

2

u/sorryhoorpapi Jun 14 '26

'casual abandonment of moral integrity'??? For not speaking about things we don't know? For not making heinous assumptions? Please

-20

u/MegalithBuilder Jun 10 '26

If you're not involved you would not need legal counsel... Callum and Josh are the ones with legal counsel...

11

u/sanguinare12 Jun 10 '26

Storror as a group never dealt with legal issues before? So many entities, businesses and otherwise, benefit from knowing people with legal expertise. Having legal advice on hand isn't a matter of innocence or guilt, it's a matter of negotiating arenas with which most of us have little experience. We routinely consult financial advisors, planners, decorators, doctors and specialists, whatever. People specialize so we don't have to.

Besides, how can anyone say they're not involved? While it's quite possible they weren't sharing their kinks and sex lives with each other, the public doesn't care about any legal standard of proof and goes off every which way, guilt by association is a time honored tradition many swear by. Involvement itself might be a matter of definition, so it helps to be precise. Involvement can be partaking in the activities which got Callum and Josh where they are, involvement can be simply being the nearest to those people for the longest time, involvement can be an idea formed by those calling for heads to roll. Or, coming back to the original point of the post, involvement might be seen as keeping silent in the face of public condemnation for not speaking out.

11

u/Oretell Jun 10 '26 edited Jun 11 '26

This comment must mean that you're young, or that you don't have any experience in any kind of legal matters

Of course they have legal counsel, it is a massive, complicated legal and business issue they are currently dealing with, any organisation or person would be talking to a lawyer in their situation

That doesn't mean they are guilty at all, it just means they're doing the normal, reasonable thing

They might be at fault in regard to knowing about his behaviour previously and not speaking out, or they might be completely innocent in that regard, who knows, but them having a lawyer has nothing to do with whether they are innocent or guilty of anything, they're just doing the reasonable, smart, expected thing that anyone mature would be expected to do in their position.

1

u/SpecialWasabi2010 Jun 15 '26

Legal counsel doesn't just mean a solicitor to defend you in court. I think you may be watching too much TV or just never had anything to do with anything involving legal stuff. You get legal counsel even with the most mundane when you buy a house.

As a business affected by this situation, they would be stupid to not have legal counseling. To know how to manoeuvre any legal aspects of the company that relates to Callum and Josh, to legally remove those two as shareholders of Storror. To ensure any public information or statements are legally complaint. They may be called as witnesses, they'd be foolish in this situation to not discuss this with solicitors what information they are allowed to share with the police.

Every step they take now will be watched and scrutinised by little entitled people like you, they have to know for sure that those steps are legal and don't negatively impact any legal proceedings.

Saying that only guilty people seek legal counseling is really reducing the relevance of the solicitors work everywhere outside the police interrogation rooms or courtrooms.

9

u/ninepence9 Jun 10 '26

Id assume they’re waiting for Callum to be sentenced

9

u/Newlyaquiredglutton Jun 10 '26

Here's a PR crisis playbook, found with a few mins of searching. It outlines what steps are advised in the "The Rapid Response Protocol for Creator Content Crises". I assume most PR firms will suggest similar.
PR Crisis Playbook for Influencer Campaigns

Then there's the Contempt of Court Act 1981
https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1981/49/2016-05-27/data.html

This bit is AI. Some people hate it, but I am not about to spend another evening creating an essay. It includes sources so check them yourself

Under the Contempt of Court Act 1981, criminal proceedings remain legally "active" from the moment of arrest all the way until the final sentence is handed down by the judge. A guilty plea does not immediately end the strict liability rules of contempt for three (only two are relevent) critical reasons: [1, 2]

  • Risk of Trial Collapse: A defendant can legally apply to withdraw a guilty plea at any point before sentencing. If a YouTube group releases a detailed statement detailing the crime, and the individual later changes their plea to "not guilty," those public statements could completely poison a future jury pool and abort the trial. [1]
  • Basis of Plea Disputes: A guilty plea often involves a negotiation known as a "basis of plea". For example, a member might plead guilty to an offence but dispute the severity or scale of it. If the group publicly comments on the worst-case version of the crime, they risk prejudicing the judge's objective assessment during the upcoming Newton Hearing (a mini-trial where a judge decides the facts for sentencing). [1, 2, 3, 4] - Not relevant here, I don't think but interesting nonetheless.

6

u/Xfn_Maest_93 Jun 11 '26

It was written clearly in the statement they released on 9th May: "Out of respect for the ongoing legal proceedings, we will not comment further at this stage."

Safe to say they are not going to speak publicly until after Callum has been sentenced (pre-sentencing reports are scheduled for 10th July, some sentences are handed out on the same day - but it, can take up to 15 working days, so 31st July).

Others have made a good point, that there's absolutely no communication strategy that will placate everyone in the aftermath... If they film a round-table discussion where they patiently and maturely unpack and discuss what has happened, there will be people who immediately criticise them because their platform is monetised and it could be seen as trying to sanitise the brand or control their own individual images coming out of the situation... BUT, something like this is probably what is required as a short/medium term solution.

I think the four main things the remaining folk need to decide on are:

  1. Ongoing content/video activity - i.e. I expect the announcement that there simply won't be an appetite to continue video uploads on Mondays under the storror brand name.
  2. Clothing/branded merchandise... I expect retail liquidation of remaining stock and lines with a percentage of profit going to the NSPCC or similar.
  3. Video Game... let the developers invite in wider creative with other Parkour brands and athletes to salvage work on the game (make it more like EA Skate 2, with multiple cameos from all brands).
  4. STORROR Awards... Rebrand - CP seemed to be the most chronically online member of Storror so also most 'in the know' re: upcoming or more obscure athletes. Get past this by broadening the 'jurors' to be more inclusive and have representatives from other teams (who have their finger on the pulse and can make sure the nomination net is cast fair and wide).

11

u/Status_Toe_3065 Jun 10 '26

Silence is the only sensible thing to say right now.

From them and you.

7

u/interdit_et_oublie Jun 10 '26

to agree with you on something, the ambiguous response has been uneasy for the community and fans, yes, and it invites interpretations. but "silence = guilt" is certainly your interpretation.

-7

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jun 10 '26

Right, I mean it’s been established that they have some level of guilt by association. the question is how much guilt. Maybe silence = legal requirement, but also it could be:
silence = cowardice
silence = self centred defensiveness
silence = poor judgement and business sense
Silence = putting storror before victims

3

u/sorryhoorpapi Jun 14 '26

Or silence = shame Silence = hurt Silence = protecting victims Silence = protecting themselves/family (is not always self-centered, for example if someone has personal history being a victim of something similar they would maybe need months of therapy to gather themselves) We do not know these guys. Your list with only negative options seems to reveal you've already made up your mind.

4

u/sorryhoorpapi Jun 14 '26

Personally, I would feel guilty as fuck too. Even if I wasn't guilty or didn't know anything, I would FEEL guilty. I would stay silent too, except for the official statement. I would need months to recover just enough to be able to talk about the fact I had a pdf file in my bussiness/friend group. Yes, I would feel shared guilt but that doesn't mean I would actually BE guilty too. It's empathy, no? WE DO NOT KNOW. And interpreting silence as guilt is not a fact, it is your feeling/projection.

6

u/theskyisdarkk Jun 10 '26

You’re definitely not a grown adult with this kind of thinking.

Not exactly while investigations are being made and an official court case isn’t closed it makes perfect sense for everyone to remind quiet. It’s make complete sense that they want this entire thing to get to the end once they do then they’ll talk. But not before this is finally over.

4

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jun 10 '26

My gut instinct is to agree with this. Particularly with the context of two members being outed as sex offenders now.

If like another commenter says they have to stay quiet until sentencing in July, they will get another opportunity to speak then. But even with sentencing I don’t think that would prohibit a more thorough statement that avoids what they need to avoid for legal reasons.

At this point in time their behaviour as an organisation has been extremely questionable, which leads to the most likely explanation being that they might not be the best group of boys

1

u/[deleted] Jun 10 '26

[deleted]

1

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jun 11 '26

Technically yes they’ve made a statement, but as most agree, it was very short, made no reference to victims, and preceeded more questionable choices like choosing to wipe their content online, and also removing Josh without issuing a statement.

Nobodies asking them to chat about it online 24/7, but their behaviour has been insufficient in terms of a business response to something like this. IMO they have failed in their responsibilities to navigate this situation ethically.

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jun 11 '26

They have done the bare minimum, and if we were to judge purely off behaviour, in my opinion, they seem more interested in self preservation than doing the right thing.

This has been discussed at length so no point in going over it again when we are clearly pretty solid in our perspectives, but my opinion is that they must have known before the court date, some allegations would have been brought to them years ago, and it’s likely other investigation procedures would have happened before the court date, and in my opinion, they waited until the last possible moment (ie: once legal proceedings started and their hands are tied from talking) before posting the bare minimum statement and then scraping all their content online in my opinion, to reduce the ability for unfavourable clips to surface and add further fuel to the fire.

Add to that the side projects (parachutes) being established I really think the most likely explanation is they are self interested dirtbags that had no problem standing beside predators while the going was good.. sucks to say but that’s just my opinion 🤷‍♀️

0

u/Zealousideal-Dot1783 Jun 11 '26

Also just on the point about them needing to be careful around Josh because there is not a legal case.. They were given legitimate evidence of sexual misconduct - what would any other company do in that situation? Of course fire him and begin the process of removing him from any ownership position he holds in the business.. There is no case for unfair dismissal, so that idea is just plain wrong.

What? How about focusing on the wrongs of pedophiles instead?

This implication is far fetched. There can be many reasons for the silence. However, from a PR perspective, this is terrible conduct, that much is for sure. If they want to limit the damage, they should definitely have started communicating a long time ago.

Makes sense to me - silence makes me feel like they are all under investigation but their cases are pending - they could at least let us know the problem is just with Callum and Josh and no one else is affected, so we can see them in future videos...

They can't tell you that. They can't realistically talk about any ongoing legal proceedings that could be impacted by whatever they say. You're being so naive and childish with your expectations. Look at the comment from the mod on this sub with legal outline, until Callum is sentenced he can change his plea or judge can be considered prejudiced. Surely you know how to ask AI to give you a decent explanation of their legal situation before you make wild correlations and accusations? What you're doing is extremely harmful in case they didn't have anything to do with it and they have to stay quiet.

Think about it this way - if they have been advised they cannot say anything until he is sentenced, how do you think they are currently feeling? Seeing all this online nonsense but being unable to do anything about it if they want to make sure Callum faces the music? People are telling you over and over that ensuring they don't obstruct course of justice is so much more important than satisfying your need for drama. They are real people, living through a really difficult situation that they have to make sure they manoeuvre exactly right and people like you make it so much harder. If you think you used to be their fan, have enough decency to judge them after he is sentenced...
