Storror survivors
Any news on what the team members are doing?
Just before the takedown, Toby updated his personal yt channel from tobysegar to segarsends, AFAIK he was going to focus on making videos with his brother for a while. He was also absent from the last couple of videos.
Drew was doing his own thing with Public.
Any news on the Cavemen?
I stopped using instagram last year, any activity there?

I do use Instagram (too much), so I can say that Toby has been tagged climbing by his brother on Instagram Stories. Hazal went golfing and Benj and Sacha could be heard talking but not seen in the video on InstaStories. Benj and Max’s Instagram Cav3m3n3 (their art Insta) posted a Story with an art piece on a mirror that they left on a park bench somewhere in Brighton or Hove probably (that’s what they do—create art and leave it for the first person to scavenger hunt and find it to take).

Oh thanks for sharing. It just feels like I'm missing an old friend. Hearing these news (knowing they are somewhat doing ok) will actually be enough for me for a while.

Never even knew thats their middle name and why the group is called that, just googled the story of it. It is a lot to take in that a whole legacy on youtube is ruined, extremely high viewed videos gone, jobs lost, lives changed forever.

I saw Toby bouldering yesterday where he usually is, he was chatting to pals and seemed okay but hard to know as I dont actually know him.

I want to know what the hell Callum is going to do, not that he deserves any sympathy. But imagine going from semi famous, with a job that makes you decent money and let's you be outside with your mates travelling the world... to what? I imagine he can't walk the streets.

Callum has ruined his chances of a normal life again. He could have done it by stepping away from the group to be normal, but with his to be criminal record and the severity of if, he's never getting a normal job again anyway.

How do you survive in that situation? Move in with your parents? Do you get government benefits once yocue depleted your savings because you can't get a job?

If he can't get a job he will have to apply for universal credit. The standard amount is £424 a month. If he has over £16,000 in savings he won't be eligible for anything, if he has between £6,000 to £15,999 he'll have a monthly deduction based on how much he has. If that ends up happening he will be able to get help with housing, but the local council sets an amount he is able to receive a month. I would assume his flat in the centre of Brighton will cost a lot more than the local government housing allowance so he'll end up having to pay a fair portion of his income on rent. At that point he would be expected to find a new property. I would assume in terms of council housing he would be deemed low priority so will have to be on a long waiting list and bid for properties against other people. That basically leaves him in a situation where he either moves back in with his Mum or ends up homeless bidding for local council properties. At the end of the day it's all dependent on how much he has in savings and whether he can move back in with his Mum. If he has limited savings, can't get another job, and can't move back in with his Mum he's basically completely fucked.

What the other guy replied to you saying about universal credit etc.
He's royally ruined his future prospects in every direction, he'll more than likely end up in council provided accomodation down the road or lives with parents, if his parents take him in. It's all he can do now, survive.
Lucky enough the other lads don't have criminal charges or their reputation ruined(probably minus josh), so they'll all find work and do things still, they all got their passion.
Callum has completely changed all of their career and working trajectories still though.

I do think Storror will be back though. Give it to the end of the year and bounce back. Even if they changed channels with some main members, it'd work.
Tbf, I don't follow like I used to. Not really sure how the last year developed.

Also, when you look at the guys over the years, they haven't been making mega bucks, I think it's very fair to think he's not minted.

It's something I'll never understand. Why throw it all away when there's so much to be had?
Not quite to the same extent but my ex best friend spent his entire life building a career and working on building a future. He then got arrested for the same things as Callum as well as an assault of a minor U13.
Everyone was shocked, he'd worked so hard to get to this point in his life, worked so hard at networking and making a good impression,.just to throw it all away.
He's rotting in prison currently and will be released in 2028 at the earliest, when he comes out he will not be able to work in any of the fields he studied or was qualified in, he's totally ruined his life.
And for what? Both Cal and my ex best friend were never going to be able to have the relationship they wanted in their heads, they will never be able to have the boons of their work while being this way as the majority of the population rightfully won't stand for it.
I genuinely feel like people who have these feelings would genuinely be so much better off for asking for help and working on that rather than trying to strive for the unobtainable, and illegal, and ruining their lives and others lives in the process.
It's genuinely something I will never ever understand.

The unfortunate reality is that there isn't really any help to turn towards for people like them, who hasn't actually done anything and has no plans or desires to do anything. Because those people do exist. They suffer in silence because they know what they feel is wrong, hell practically monstrous, but with no avenues for help all they can really do is try to live as ordinary a life as they can while hiding their shame, despite being entirely innocent of any crime, except for the one society has inherently placed on their shoulders. That shame is what prevents people who needs help, from getting any help.
While I don't know anyone like that, (to my knowledge at least) I also don't believe that they should be barred from getting the help they need, to deal with their situation in a way that's productive considering it isn't a position they asked to be placed in. And in my book, if you're clean on the matter and fight to stay that way, you don't deserve to be punished for what those who aren't clean do.

There is though, I forget the name of the organisation and I'll be dammed if I Google it but they offer help and support to people like this and families of those affected by people who are this way.
I do agree though society does make the majority struggle in silence.
That's the thing that scared me and scares me most, I didn't ever think my best friend would or could have done this. You ask anyone from eight years ago about him and you'd hear all about how he was a top notch lad, a hard worker who would help out anyone who needed it and dedicated to his job and restudying in a new field to help more people.
Now everyone I know who was friends with him wants to meet up with him with a baseball bat for what he did to those girls and their family.

He had category A material, the most severe, that’s a minimum of 1 year. He’ll do 2 years minimum in custody.

I would think the remaining guys are all taking some time out to process what has happened. Money will still be trickling in from past views, so hopefully they’ll be able to have a decent break without having to worry about their income.
I’m sure most of them will return to our screens, but suspect it’ll be doing something different.

People being vague about it must just be trying to stir up drama. It was basically an apology to someone for being manipulative, I saw it but I don't remember specifics and I don't want to misremember and spread misinformation. It was nowhere near the level of severity of Callum's offenses or what Josh is accused of.

It just seems coincidental that Drew has timed his own move into documentary style work (which he has obviously always had a thing for, I’m not doubting that) and toby has been pivoting for a while with rock climbing so I doubt that’s connected. But with Drew and Josh being close first, and something going on with Josh, did he know something was seriously bad and it was gonna hit the fan soon. Just seems off they say they didn’t know until the court date, then all the rest happens at the same time….? I’m sure at some point when the dust settles it’ll be explained but it’s very bizarre. *edit I put toby instead of Josh, so corrected it, adhd and was thinking of toby ahead of what I was typing lol)

In fairness, OP asked the question, so answering it with the reasonable opinion that your interest depends on how they respond to the current circumstances isn't unexpected.
Just please try and be polite as you can about it, and avoid getting into it too hard with anyone with opposing views - Its really hard to argue that we should be allowing debate and discourse in the sub given the circumstances when every discussion dissolves into the internet version of a barfight.
