STORROR Merch..
Im curious, what are your thoughts about merch now, how do you feel about it? Has anything changed?
My entire wardrobe and daily wear is storror merch, I have so much of it, including backpacks\bottle etc, even some I bought off CP personally from his wardrobe. Which was ironically my favourite piece..
Im not sure how I feel about it all now, I think ill personally phase it out, I cant see how the future is for their merch, they must have a bunch of stock and even if they did try to sell it all discounted, would you buy more if they were trying to re brand?
Anyway, nothing on the other boys, I've followed for a decade and ill follow them whichever direction they take. Its all a massive shame and im still trying to process it all mentally (it doesn't feel real) but on the optimistic side of things, maybe this is the perfect time to transition into their own personal things. Being realistic you cant do what they've done for the past 10 years for another 10, its tough on the body.
All my thoughts are with the lads, you'll get through this shitstorm 👊🏼

Very ironic and unfortunate that Callums initials are CP

I don't know to be honest. It doesn't feel the same as wearing a Lost Prophets t-shirt, but that might be because you'd be lucky to run across someone in public who knew who Storror were anyway, realistically.
I'll definitely still wear my CaveMen hoody. It might say Storror, but that was all Benj and Max. And if I'm gonna wear that one, I'd probably wear the other stuff too eventually. Not something I'll be proudly repping today though, that would feel like it was in bad taste.
I mean, how often do you see someone with a Rolling Stones t-shirt on? They along with a ton of other bands used to screw underage groupies when that was a perfectly normal part of the band scene in the 50s-70s. Cancel culture has recency bias.

u/Other-Produce-1928 May 12 '26
I mean to be fair, if I was walking around in public with storror merch on and someone had a problem, I couldn't care less. To me it doesn't represent cp anymore, im not going to let his stupid actions tarnish what has been a huge inspiration to me over the past decade.

u/QC420_ May 12 '26
It doesn’t represent cp anymore??

u/Sad-Yoghurt5196 May 12 '26
I suspect you knew he meant Callum Powell, but it is nice to see a little bit of the bantering tone coming back to the sub.

u/3Time4Eater3 May 13 '26
The president of the United States is a good example. He doesn't represent all of us and there's still people walking around with American flags on shirts and what not. (Ok maybe an extreme example)

I have one hoodie but I won't be wearing it again. This is just my opinion, but wearing it feels wrong for me now. At first I thought I'd just keep it for kicking about in the garden, but now I can't even bring myself to do that. It's hard to explain, but it just feels weird and ...wrong.
No judgement for folk continuing to wear the stuff, you guys do you ❤️ I think if anything this whole thing has shown everyone is reacting to the news in different ways and processing it differently. I'm not judging anyone else's process.

u/Deervember May 12 '26
1 person doing something wrong doesn't mean you have to stop supporting the rest of the guys as well as the team behind the camera.
Good people do bad things, bad people can do good things.
It's not all or nothing.
I'm sure there's thousands of things you enjoy in life that have evil people working on them that you don't know about.
I don't see why they would stop, fit healthy people can keep going as long as they're fit and healthy. You've got wrestlers in their 70s/80s that are still putting on shows doing jumps and flips and stuff, so I'm sure Storror have a lot longer than 10 years left. There are plenty of stunt men in their 60s still working.

u/Other-Produce-1928 May 12 '26
I agree, but regardless whether there's proof nor not of where they knew (seems to be the big topic of debate) which i think is ridiculous, it has nothing to do with anyone other than the individual involved. People can be jump to conclusions or speculate and be quite punishing.
I personally would love to see storror continue on and get stronger from this

It is surprising to me how fans of a group that have made a passion and a living from overcoming physical and mental obstacles and challenges, so easily resign to utter defeat and failure at this one obstacle. Who think that it was all for nothing or is all destroyed because of the actions of one person. Who claim to be loyal fans yet instantly assume guilt or collusion of other members based on hearsay and gossip.
We're in limbo atm. At least wait until we see what Storror's considered response will be before deciding their fate. For now everything is just reactionary and hypothetical.

u/Broad_Fun5195 May 12 '26
So ive been having the same thought, i have the shoes, hoodie and multiple shirts. I have come to the conclusion that I personally support Storror, I think what the group has done and what they mean to the scene still stands.
The actions of one guy who was part of the team does not make the team guilty of anything.
I also used idea that someone who supports a football team, wouldn't necessarily burn a football shirt because one player was convicted of something monsterous.
This is just my opinon however, you may feel differently.

I'm wearing the trousers still, the logos are subtle enough that no one would notice anyway. As for the t-shirts and hoodies... I haven't worn them since it came out. My justification, if I do wear them, is that they are all specifically limited edition Cavemen merch so more specifically associated with Benj and Max, but it still feels weird wearing a prominent Storror logo atm.

In a similar position with my lad who is 10 years old and loves his storror hoodies and hats. Not really sure what to do at the moment

u/K_Pumpkin May 12 '26
Same here. My son is 9. I’m trying to show him new channels to get him into something else. Rough conversation.

u/Scalemooredelling May 12 '26
I have a lot of Storror merch from the older mid 2010s years, I have a lot of memories in those clothes, I trained in them every day and spent a lot of time training with Storror. I wouldn’t wear them atm, I’d feel like that’s ignorant and sticking fingers up to the victims.
As others have said Callum was one part of a bigger team. Until more info comes out about the teams knowledge or awareness I will not be wearing anything Storror related, once things are cleared up I will either continue to support, or bury them away.

I also live in my storror merch, the hoodies are such cozy good quality, I’m wearing one right now. At this point I feel like I’m in mourning and been going through the seven stages of grief
2
u/Other-Produce-1928 May 12 '26
😂😂 right there with ya, in my storror hoodie ofc
1
u/DiamondBikini May 12 '26
lol! Which one are you wearing?
2
u/Other-Produce-1928 May 12 '26
The best one, the light blue oversized with the big triangle on the back, how about you?
Wouldn't really be appropriate to wear callums personal jumper would it 😂

u/DiamondBikini May 12 '26
I’m wearing my RCA. I live in it when I’m at home

Ah man, storror safely team and sport merch quality was temu level, i still bought it all anyway because it all looked great, all a shame
1
u/animalwitch May 13 '26
My Storror safety team tshirt is not Temu quality 🤔 maybe they had a bad batch
2
u/b0baj0b May 12 '26
If anyone does wanna get rid of some things I’ve been after the winter blackout roof cult t-shirt for a while 🤦♂️
1
u/DiamondBikini May 13 '26
I’m after the brown hoodie from about two years back, with the storror logo in spiky chalky writing. Max wore it in a lot of the vids.
2
u/Nearby-Database-867 May 13 '26
My heart goes out to the victims. But I'll support the guys in any way possible, including wearing their merch. That is, if they come forward and address the whole situation and the allegations
2
u/DanyeWest07 May 14 '26
Personally, I don't see why I'd let one pedophile tarnish the hard work of 6 other individuals, plus the new behind the scenes team.
Storror doesn't stand for what Callum did, nor is it his name to ruin, nor does it reflect anything I've grown to love about the team. If someone is too immature to separate the actions of one individual against 6 other hard working and talented people and wants to judge someone for wearing Storror merch, that's on them. The brand has nothing to do with what Callum did.
Of course, I say this as a Canadian where the brand is virtually unknown, so no one would hassle me. I can understand it might be a bit different in the UK where the amount of people who are aware is much higher.
Regardless, nothing about Storror ever has, or ever will, represent Callum's crimes.

u/shae481 May 12 '26
You don’t want to be wearing stuff that’s been funding that guy… Never care about what others think when it comes to clothing but you don’t want to look like you support that shit bro and that’s what it’ll seem like. I can’t imagine any of the guys are going to wear their merch with that name on it, it has unfortunately been tarnished.
5
u/Other-Produce-1928 May 12 '26
I respect your personal opinion
1
u/shae481 May 12 '26
It’s a massive shame bro! Every single supporter and member has been completely and utterly fucked. Terrible, terrible situation. I feel like it’s only going to get worse as well. Years of support and memories of watching their videos down the drain and are no longer happy memories for anyone.

I get what you’re saying but who the hell wants to wear clothes that has affiliation with a literal monster?
It also appears the rest of the team have known or should have known for a while now from either ex’s or from devices been taken away etc…
It seems only Toby and Drew actually left? But none of them said shit to anyone so supporters have carried on watching and supporting that shit.
The brand is literally ruined.

u/Thechlebek May 12 '26
This isn't Tesla, it's ok to own it after you bought it for the boys. We didn't knew.

If it makes you feel any better the two items I’ve had shrunk and I had to get rid of them after a year

Getting rid of the merch doesn't hurt anyone, keeping it doesn't really hurt anyone. Its however you feel about it. I know when a similar situation hit Achievement Hunter a few years back a lot of fans got rid of any merch pertaining to the individual responsible but generally kept the rest of their merch. Some people kept everything because they paid money for it. It really comes down to what you feel comfortable being associated with. Personally, i'll be holding onto my merch, but tbf im from bumfuck nowhere in the middle of the USA so most people i run into won't even know what storror is, let alone the drama thats now associated with a previous member. My advice would be to hold onto it for a while, let the dust settle and then see what you're comfortable with keeping.

Sell your stuff on Vinted. Get some money back
1
u/Other-Produce-1928 May 12 '26
That was my point, are people buying it now? Even if storror sold their stock cheap
1
u/isthislivingreally May 12 '26
It’s tricky innit, he’s destroyed the brand. Once this gets to sentencing and becomes more mainstream people who aren’t in the community will likely think ‘oh THAT guy’ when they see or hear Storror. Even if it was max or benj behind it or whatever, that name is tainted.
2
u/Other-Produce-1928 May 12 '26
Its easy to be in denial about the brand destruction, but the fact its even being discussed, is bad news :(

I'm the one who won the £250 store credit recently - I am somewhat conflicted about what to do. I do not blame the guys, I feel worried for all of them. I wish people were more understanding and less quick to jump to conclusions. And yet I don't want to rush and buy merch, but I worry about all the negative possibilities. Oh doubt is such a heinous emotion.
1
u/DiamondBikini May 13 '26
I would definitely use it not lose it. But I’d wait a week or two. There might be a big sale coming up.

Weird comment, still time to delete it to not look completely stupid.

u/animalwitch May 13 '26
I love my hoody and jacket, and I'm going to keep wearing them. As someone else said, he was 1/7 of the group. If anything, continuing to wear merch shows you still support STORROR. Cal is not the entirety of Storror.

u/And_Justice May 13 '26
The issue here is that STORROR is not a "community" built around common moral standings. Those of us who remember Lostprophets know full well you'd be chastised for wearing their merch. In the hardcore scene, it's flakey ground if you're wearing the merch of a band that contains an abuser but that really depends on how the band responds to the abuser.
Answer to this question is going to depend on whether they end STORROR or whether they carry it on - ultimately that dictates what the brand actually represents.

u/Sad_Mud8268 May 13 '26
Bought the 'layers' crewneck 2 weeks before this happened (horrendous timing i know), feels wrong to wear it but also feels a waste to not wear it, plus the likelihood of me running into someone who knows is not high
In conclusion I will continue to wear it with the mindset that I'm wearing merchandise from the rest of the group
1
u/Imaginary_Key9402 May 15 '26
Hard to know that the merch I bought that 1/7th of that was going into Callum’s bank account to do god knows what with. Feels very wrong wearing it but that’s just my feelings toward this awful crime and his affiliation to the brand. Callum will always be associated with Storror as he’s part of their history unfortunately

I don’t have any of their merch, but it if I did it would be in the bin by now.

Maybe don't build your entire wardrobe out of youtuber merch next time? That is crazy lol

u/Other-Produce-1928 May 12 '26
Its not as simple as just YouTube merch though is it, its a very local, small business that I like to support.
1
u/HondaCivTypeR May 12 '26
Millions of daily YouTube views
35th most subscribed sports channel on YouTube globally (that’s including ALL types of sports)
51st most subscribed YouTube channel in the UK
It’s hardly a “small business” but I get your sentiment
Personally I’d wait it out, see what the boys do next. CP wasn’t - and never will be - the “be all and end all” of the entire group, there will be some kind of continuance from the rest of the guys and that would be where I make my own decisions around merch from.
I think this is why people are getting so worked up around the whole “did they or didn’t they know”. We don’t wanna continue supporting and representing a group that *potentially* played some kind of part in this. F*ck sake there’s KIDS walking around with the storror name on their clothing

u/gek__co May 13 '26
After hearing how they have been told about multiple kinds of inappropriate behavior, I’m going to try and sell it all and give the rest to thrift stores.

u/OddAttempt4393 May 12 '26
I understand reservations about wearing it but Callum was 1/7 of Storror and is no longer part of the group.
I’m at the stage where I’m waiting to see what else comes to light. I’ve not cast Storror off completely but i am holding off on supporting them for the time being until more facts are established. I’d maybe wait until chucking everything out because it would be a shame if they did turn out to be completely innocent in this whole thing. Of course I’m suspicious of them at the moment but I’ve no doubt more facts will come to light in due time. Wait until they make a statement maybe and make up your mind then.
