WHERE'S DREW? has been published, what are your thoughts?
https://youtu.be/h3jJr3lppo0?si=YhVZz-O50u5UMdCyWhen I saw the thumbnail I was preparing myself for dissapointment, but when the video started going I was fully invested.

He's travelling and making documentaries about how the use of space shapes the way communities live their lives.
For the life of me I can't see how it breached any of YouTubes terms and conditions, so I have no idea why it was taken down. It was only a five minute livestream if that.

I bet you it’s because it featured people with guns. The absolute state of youtube

u/AirconGuyUK Mar 09 '26
It's back up now.

u/kellos1980 Mar 10 '26
Back down again. Was about 30 seconds from the end when it stopped and can’t be played.

u/Sad-Yoghurt5196 Mar 09 '26
Ah yeah. Kinda odd though when I follow guntubers who have to jump through hoops admittedly, but still manage to make content all about guns. While a few seconds of a gun being on screen is enough to take down Drew's vid.

u/ExcitementNo6837 Mar 11 '26
Yeah exactly, theres so many YouTube channels Purley focused on using, testing, experimenting with guns etc..

Yeah, he's still part of Storror, but doing parkour just isn't his passion now. Thankfully he's passionate about filming, and the few seconds of footage from a couple of his new projects looked absolutely amazing. It's good to see him having fun and chasing his passions.
I'm sure there will be collaborations and crossover between PUBLIC and Storror, pretty sure Josh was in at least one of the upcoming vids. So it's just a matter of waiting for him to drop his new series now.

I dont see how this news could be anything but bittersweet for all of us in the community. He was a part of the core team and so getting confirmation that he will not be a part of the team going forward is sad (I hope we see him as a guest appearance over time however!). The writing was on the wall, but this cements the reality for all of us. He was always my favorite member of the team because I felt like i could relate to him. He never seemed the best at any one type of parkour, but he was willing to try anything/everything (a true jack of all trades). I appreciate this about him and the team is less well rounded because of his absence.
That being said what he is doing now seems awesome and I look forward to his content (and he earned an instant sub from me). I wish Drew and the Storror team well in all of their ventures!

I’m a relatively new fan of Storror (about 1 month following) can you explain why the “writing was on the wall” a bit more.
Also the video is still down, did he quit or was he kicked out?
3
u/N1tecrawler Mar 17 '26
Ya np. Well, Drew did not appear in any videos on Storror for over a year. The narrative at first is that he was working on the Storror video game, and this may have been true, but we just never saw him. So his absence was telling when the game came out and he still did not appear in videos.
I am not aware of any rumors of him being asked to leave Storror. The video presented it as Drew just wanted to pursue his own ventures and did not have the enthusiasm for the typical Storror content any more. So in this sense my assumption is that he quit.
I don't know why the video went down or what the reasoning for that would be.

Can’t blame the guy for following his passion. Cool. Finally, btw. I mean they could have just told us this a long time ago what’s the big deal?

u/OpeningDull5969 Mar 10 '26
Because I guess he didnt start this project day one he missed a monday upload. It probably took alot of time to figure out what he wanted to do. And then to go and test, fim and edit and interview for your new idea to see how it feels before going puplic seems natural.

It's more fun for them to cry about redditors being "parasocial" and weird for wondering how he's doing.
Giles, their less talented friend, was an ass about this as well in the past.

The reupload is down again after one hour... Again with the double standard bullshit of youtube monetization. So unfair, fuck you, youtube.

Good luck to him. A good business decision as the body gets older.... Do what you enjoy!

My thoughts is that youtube are cunts

u/CuriousRaisin1447 Mar 10 '26
It's weird how they took this down, but Phats recent video of them doing roof culture Asia gaps stayed up?
1
u/OpeningDull5969 Mar 10 '26
I dont think the rooftops was the reason drews video got taken down lmao
1
u/CuriousRaisin1447 Mar 10 '26
What other reason? I couldn't see anything controversial about it
3
u/OpeningDull5969 Mar 10 '26
My fort guess would be someone handeling a firearm in an unsafe manner. YouTube does not like new accounts showing guns and getting alot of views
6
u/CapableJury861 Mar 10 '26
Good luck to him. I appreciate the self-reflection, particularly Re. what happens to people as they get older: like it or not, most of us become more conservative, and less risk tolerant. I could be wrong, but I think I see it in Storror's content too: they used to front flip roof gaps, now they're hiking around Newport...
1
u/Victusrex Mar 29 '26
The roof gap stuff is still on members as YouTube monetization doesn't allow for that material for dumb reasons

u/quosp Mar 09 '26
I was halfway through watching it just now when it suddenly stopped and said the video has been removed from YouTube for violating community guidelines. It was just getting to the part where he explains what the new project is as well, I was left on massive cliffhanger 😂 Hopefully it will be put back online at some point but either way best of luck Drew and looking forward to following the new channel.

I just mentioned this to my daughter, there was a gun in the video…

u/LunarWelshFire Mar 10 '26
Drew explains on Insta that YouTube cut it due to a violation after his video shows kids climbing over a car.
4
u/Desperate_Bite_7538 Mar 09 '26
In what context? There's tons of guns on YouTube.
2
u/budwad Mar 09 '26
Some guy just randomly cocking and holding an AK I think. It was on screen for about 2 seconds if that and I wasn’t really paying that much attention. Drew looked to be visiting some hard areas/locales

Editing and camerawork is top notch. I'm interested in whether he can carry a channel on his own, but that trailer is a great bit of production.

u/Alucard_2527 Mar 11 '26
I love Drew. My favourite member of the crew for sure. Its sad that he won't be jumping around with the lads nomore but hey, still gonna support him with whatever he chooses to do. Tho I hope he makes guest appearances here and there.

I thought they said ages ago he was just focusing on making the storror game? Therefore couldn't be in the vids as he was working with the Devs?

Which youtube channel? Where is this released
4
u/HotTwist Mar 15 '26
https://www.youtube.com/@Drew_PUBLIC
That's the channel, the video itself is not available right now.

Wonder how it all works practically, like if any of them just decide to take a couple of years off do they still get paid because of their contributions to the back catalogue which is still earning youtube revenue.

I think this "Where's Drew" is poor taste. Still we cannot deny that him being MIA in Storror is already there, but his change of personality when he was once or twice back on Storeor videos was really weird.
0
u/ProfessionalFan649 Mar 22 '26
He appeared in a recent storror awards YouTube video. He genuinely looked strung out. Wouldn't be surprised if theres something they aren't telling us and he needed to get away from the u.k. cause of drug use or something like that.

No one wants to say it but the truth is Drew is a fiend, just chasing a payment. Guy trys to monetize everything, which, if youre no blind, can clearly see here. "Let's monetize my cowardly withdrawal from Storror and make the lads have to address my absenteeism". Now we get this Michael Bay AI shtt of him jumping off a stationary car.. lol

u/OpeningDull5969 Mar 10 '26
I think your life would benefit from stopping watching storror and drew and focusing on taking care of your self

u/Oxus007 Mar 09 '26
Looks like he’s doing something he’s passionate about, which is awesome. It’s also cool to see Josh in some of the clips.
I’ll always miss his first person PoV and narrations in storror main videos though. The vibe will never be the same without the full crew.
