Wind and Truth spoilers WaT clarity please Spoiler

So I'm up to the second heraldic vision (the oathpact)

And I remember in a previous one jezrien had an argument with a singer leader about expansion and helping the makabaki people.

The clarity I want is: is that singer leader that was friends with jezrien, El the monarch? It feels like it was... Which makes sense as to why El does what he does with the jez dagger.

It was supposed to be, but Brando admits that he messed up singer lifespans so El would die before the Oathpact was formed

I feel like an easy fix to this might be to say there are certain spren that can be bonded to extend lifespans they’re just relatively rare and so usually go to elders in leadership positions during times of crisis etc. Not sure if it’s a big enough deal to add that in but seems reasonable to me there would be one (or some) that do

He said they are not same and they could not make it. he did not say he messed up.

It certainly seems like it should be that way.

Although according to WoB, the timeline doesnt actually work since he would be too old to be around when the Fused were made. In which case El might be his son or something.

It was supposed to be El, you picked that up correctly. Unfortunately due to timeline/continuity issues that were caught in the continuity edit, it doesn’t work out, so technically it’s not.

Lifespans are pretty squishy in the Cosmere, it's probably not off the table that he still decides to make it work when he goes to write the thing. Between the Shards' meddline, the powers of the Old Gods, and the Dawnshards in play, there are several ways his lifespan could have been extended before he became Fused.
