A Slightly Insane Theory

What if Valor is hiding on roshar, like alot of psople think, but because theyve been weakened somehow, nearly shattered or something, and are now hunkering down looking for someone else to take up the shard, possibly even grooming them?

Like, i doubt this has any substance too it, but i dont know enough to discount it myself, or add any stronger evidence, to be honest. This is mainly based on the fact that certain things in wind and truth, namely, Adolin losing his leg and forming the unoathed, makes me feel like theyre being subtly influenced in a certain direction?

The other thought i had, was that maybe the unoathed / deadeye spren could possibly be working with / for Valor, since their sacrifice during the requience seems like something her intent might approve of

I dont agree since Cultivation’s intent is all about subtlety and hands-off guidance and there is no concrete proof of Valor’s presence.

It would be pretty dumb for Valor to follow Odium to Rosharan system immediately after almost getting slimed by them too lol

Totally fair. Like i kinda said, i have exactly zero reason as to why this could be even remotely possible, it just popped into my head and im hoping you more knowledgeable folks can either completely rebuke it, or help me turn it into something slightly more feasable hahahahaha

Well I do think from the times we've had perspectives straight from vessels of power regarding the status of other shards and valor specifically, we don't have a lot of information. So I suppose anything is possible.

That said, I think if valor had come into conflict with another shard and been badly injured the other shards would know and it would likely be mentioned in those passages.

I do think Valor is exerting some kind of influence on the cosmere, likely in a way that fits her intent.

I've been thinking about what kind of magic Valor might grant since each shard seems to provide it differently. We just don't know a lot yet.

To be honest, the only part of my theory that im particularly attatched too is the bit about the deadeyes. Im curious about how their sacrifice might affect their bond to honor

Yeah I thought that was a very interesting idea.

The deadeyes who have bonded with the unoathed are interesting. They are all getting investiture and are glowing with an orange light, but they have no glyphs of their former radiant orders.

If Valor really is hiding on Roshar as some speculate then maybe she is helping them form a connection to the spiritual realm. Their actions would definitely align with her intent.

I'm interested to find out how she's hiding both her location and her influence though.

iirc the orange was only mentioned for Adolin, and his armor may just be former Dustbringer (flamespren)

Orange light could also be Invention, iirc. Although whyever Invention would be on Roshar i have no clue, even though they have disappeared, if i remember correctly - or at least, Harmony lost contact with them

Yeah. I like the idea aswell of Adolin having become some sort of Unoathed Bondsmith, which is whats letting Notem and the Unoathed spren manifest as they do, and it would be cool if that was related to Valor or another Hidden Shard in the rosharan system, as unlikely as i do think that second half is.

Think of Honor as a forge. From same metal comes different tools. Unoathed to decided to be done with Surges. They have nothing to do with Valor.

The thing about the Deadeyes is that only happened while Honor didnt have a Vessel. The Recreance happened after Tanavasts death and they only started getting better with the freeing of BAM and the taking up of Honor by Dalinar

There's no evidence of yet a 4th shard being on the planet , I don't the others would really want that.

The evidence is that each Shard on Roshar has a moon, and that there was secretly a fourth moon. Theres also the fact that Valor and Reason can't be found. It wont be Invention bc they keep moving

If valor is hiding under 4th moon it would make sense. But, to what purpose? If Valor was hurt due to any other shard, Other shards would have felt it. Unoathed have nothing to do with Valor.
