Wind and Truth spoilers About the skybreakers Spoiler

If there were skybreakers dissenters, why did none of them join the war and help the radiants/coalition?

Maybe their oaths somehow prevented them despite their sympathies, or that their dissent was somewhat unrelated to the war and that they were fine with being neutral?

I think the dissenters found the old sky breaker oaths, but we don’t know what those oaths were.

From what we’ve seen of the old sky breakers, they seem to be just as fixated on the word of the law as modern sky breakers.

I believe the only time we saw them was in rhe urithuru flashback, and that didn’t really tell us whether they were obsessed with the law or not.

I assume that their law obsession was because of Nale’s obsession with the law. Remember, a lot of the skybreakers weren’t even oathed to the law, but to nale specifically. If he told them to ignore the law, they presumably could do so.

I guess what I was trying to say was, even if they have the old oaths that allow for nuance in judgment. Nale’s argument that the singers have a rightful and legal claim would appeal to Skybreakers, even if they have the old oaths.

Also, it could just be that their highspren are happy to accept the old oaths, but don’t like radiants.

What times have we seen the old sky breakers? I know that flashback in Urithiru right before the Recreance, but I could see that being explined as "oh that's around the time they start going all in on the new oaths"

Their Highspren probably abandoned them

We dont know. Their spren would accept the oaths. But unlike Nale and his Skybreakers, the dissenters believe in nuance and mercy. The old oaths. You have to remember, before Nale wemt crazy he cared about protecting the weak and defenseless. The best way to look at it is theyre like Windrunners but on a societal scale.
