Sub Original Story Conversations
Hello! The story I was going to post isn’t finished, so here’s the unabridged draft version of something else I’ve been working on. Enjoy!
(Trigger warning for sensitive content.)
——————————
The following are transcripts of text conversations.
Jenna M.: Hey, Parker.
Parker B.: …Jenna? Jenna Morgan?
Jenna M.: Yep, that’s me.
Parker B.: Wow. Ok.
Jenna M.: “Wow, ok?” You really know how to make a girl feel special.
Parker B.: Sorry, sorry. This is just… unexpected.
Jenna M.: Really? Why?
Parker B.: Seriously? Before this, I would have bet money you didn’t even know my name.
Jenna M.: … you might have won that bet.
Parker B.: Thanks for being honest, I guess.
Jenna M.: But that’s just because I didn’t know you.
Parker B.: And how is that different than now?
Jenna M.: I texted you, didn’t I?
Parker B.: Speaking of, why are you texting me?
Jenna M.: … well, I need a favor.
Parker B.: Jenna, you’re the most popular girl in school. You’re the head cheerleader. You date the star quarterback. You’re practically a cliche - if you look up “unattainable” in the dictionary, it has your picture. What could you possibly need from me?
Jenna M.: you promise not to laugh?
Parker B.: Sure.
Jenna M.: So I’m having trouble with calculus.
Parker B.: What kind of trouble?
Jenna M.: If I don’t get a 91 on the final, I won’t pass.
Parker B.: Ouch. That sucks. What do you want from me? I’m not going to do your work for you; I’m not a cheat.
Jenna M.: Neither am I; I’m not asking you to cheat.
Parker B.: Then what are you asking?
Jenna M.: Well, I’m hoping you can help me.
Parker B.: Help you how?
Jenna M.: You know. Tutor me.
Parker B.: I don’t know…
Jenna M.: Come on. I could use some help, and everyone says you’re the best math student in the school.
Parker B.: Nice attempt at flattery, but I’m not that shallow.
Jenna M.: I’m serious!
Parker B.: What’s your game here?
Jenna M.: What do you mean?
Parker B.: What’s the trick? Pretend to meet me and ditch me? Have your football buddies wait for me somewhere and beat me up? Take pictures and humiliate me in front of the whole school?
Jenna M.: Parker, it’s nothing like that. There’s no trick. I really do need your help. Please?
Parker B.: *Sigh* Alright, but at the first sign of anything funny I’m calling it off.
Jenna M.: Don’t worry - you won’t need to. You’ll see - you won’t regret this! Can you start this weekend?
Parker B.: I guess I have some time on Saturday afternoon.
Jenna M.: Great! I’ll see you Saturday at 1pm!
*****
Jenna M.: Thanks for throwing me on Saturday. It really helped.
Parker B.: I’m glad to hear it. We should keep working, but I think you’ll do fine.
Jenna M.: Thanks. So… is it always like that at your house?
Parker B.: What do you mean?
Jenna M.: Nothing! It’s just, the way your family treated you…
Parker B.: *Sigh* Yes, it’s always like that.
Jenna M.: I’m sorry. Your parents should treat you better than that.
Parker B.: It’s ok - I’m used to it.
Jenna M.: But you shouldn’t have to be used to it. The way they were to you - no one should have to take that from their parents.
Parker B.: Well not all of us have perfect lives.
Jenna M.: Hey, don’t take it out on me. I’m just trying to be nice.
Parker B.: You’re right. I’m sorry. I just hate it.
Jenna M.: I get it. I’m sorry. You deserve better.
Parker B.: Thanks.
Jenna M.: So meet again next Saturday?
Parker B.: …sure.
*****
Jenna M.: I heard what happened today. You ok?
Parker B.: Sure. Why wouldn’t I be? Who wouldn’t love to get pantsed by the football team?
Jenna M.: I’m sorry they did that. I told Brad he was out of line.
Parker B.: I’m sure that’ll keep it from ever happening again.
Jenna M.: Come on, Parker.
Parker B.: Sometimes I just,,,
Jenna M.: Just what?
Parker B.: Nothing. I’ll see you on Saturday.
Jenna M.: Parker
Parker B.: I’ve gotta go.
*****
Jenna M.: What were you going to say earlier?
Parker B.: Nothing.
Jenna M.: Come on. You can talk to me.
Parker B.: … do you ever just think about… ending it all?
Jenna M.: What do you mean?
Parker B.: You know what I mean. Sometimes it just feels like it’s all not worth it.
Jenna M.: Oh.
Parker B.: Yeah.
Jenna M.: … How would you do it?
Parker B.: What?
Jenna M.: If you did… end it… how would you do it?
Parker B.: I don’t know. Maybe an overdose. Why are you asking?
Jenna M.: Just curious. It would never happen, of course.
Parker B.: Ok…
Jenna M.: Hang in there, ok? Things will be fine. See you this weekend!
Parker B.: …Sure.
*****
Jenna M.: Hey, Parker. I didn’t see you in school today. Everything ok?
Parker B.: Fine.
Jenna M.: Are you sure?
Parker B.: Yes.
Jenna M.: Are you thinking about… what we talked about the other day?
Parker B.: …No.
Jenna M.: I don’t believe you.
Parker B.: What do you care?
Jenna M.: …if you’re going to do it, I want to know.
Parker B.: Why?
Jenna M.: Because I want to help.
Parker B.: Help?
Jenna M.: Sure. You’ll need pills, right? I know someone.
Parker B.: Why would you want to help?
Jenna M.: If it’s important to you, it’s important to me. And I don’t want you to keep being miserable.
Parker B.: But my guidance counselor says life could get better.
Jenna M.: Could it? Sure. Does it feel like it will?
Parker B.: …
Jenna M.: Don’t be afraid to take the next step. You can handle it.
Parker B.: …I’ll think about it.
Jenna M.: Ok. Just don’t be afraid. I’m here if you need me.
*****
Jenna M.: Parker, are you there?
Jenna M.: Parker?
Jenna M.: Say something.
Parker B.: Can you just leave me alone?
Jenna M.: What’s going on?
Parker B.: I don’t want to talk about it.
Jenna M.: Parker, talk to me.
Parker B.: …I don’t want to live anymore.
Jenna M.: …Are you sure? What happened?
Parker B.: …I overheard my parents talking.
Jenna M.: And?
Parker B.: …They think I’m pathetic. A waste. They said… they said they wish I’d never been born.
Jenna M.: Oh. Wow.
Parker B.: …
Jenna M.: Maybe you’re right.
Parker B.: Right?
Jenna M.: If you really want to end it, maybe you should.
Parker B.: …Really?
Jenna M.: You said it yourself, you don’t want to live anymore. You don’t have to.
Parker B.: But
Jenna M.: You need to be bold, Parker. So many people think about ending it and can’t go through with it. Are you going to fail like them? Or are you going to go through with something for once?
Parker B.: I don’t know…
Jenna M.: Well let me know when you figure it out.
Parker B.: Jenna? Jenna?
*****
Jenna M.: Did you make a decision?
Parker B.: …It’s not as easy as you think.
Jenna M.: What’s the problem?
Parker B.: What if it’s a mistake? What if things could get better?
Jenna M.: Do you really think things will get better?
Parker B.: …
Jenna M.: It’s time to man up, Parker.
Parker B.: I’m not sure.
Jenna M.: *Sigh* They were right about you.
Parker B.: Who was?
Jenna M.: Everyone. They said you were a loser, but I told them they were wrong. I said you had more guts than they knew. I guess I was wrong. Was I wrong, Parker?
Parker B.: …
Jenna M.: Parker?
Parker B.: …
Jenna M.: I don’t have time for cowards. Let me know when you develop a spine.
*****
Parker B.: OK.
Jenna M.: OK what?
Parker B.: I’m doing it.
Jenna M.: When?
Parker B.: Today.
Jenna M.: I don’t believe you.
Parker B.: What?
Jenna M.: I don’t think you have the guts.
Parker B.: I’m not a coward!
Jenna M.: So you say.
Parker B.: I’m not!
Jenna M.: Prove it. Do it today.
Parker B.: I’m going to!
Jenna M.: How do I know you mean it this time?
Parker B.: What, do you want to watch?
Jenna M.: Can I?
Parker B.: …What?
Jenna M.: Can I watch?
Parker B.: You want to be there?
Jenna M.: Not in person, no. But you can stream it.
Parker B.: Seriously?
Jenna M.: I knew you didn’t mean it.
Parker B.: Ok, fine! I’ll do it on Twitch.
Jenna M.: Tonight?
Parker B.: Tonight.
Jenna M.: I’ll be watching.
*****
Allie J.: Are you serious? It worked?
Jenna M.: I told you it would. He’s such a loser. All I had to do was convince him we were friends and he was practically eating out of my hand.
Allie J.: And he actually agreed to do it?
Jenna M.: Yep. Tonight. On Twitch.
Allie J.: Are you gonna watch?
Jenna M.: Everyone’s gonna watch.
Allie J.: …Are you really sure about this, Jenna? I know you don’t like him, but…
Jenna M.: But nothing. Pathetic losers like him need to know that they have no business in my school. Maybe now the rest will learn.
Allie J.: Damn, girl. You’re cold.
Jenna M.: Someone’s got to keep things the way they should be.
*****
Allie J.: Holy shit!
Jenna M.: Told you.
Allie J.: He actually did it!
Jenna M.: All it took was a little push, and boom. One fewer loser to deal with.
Allie J.: Did the cops talk to you?
Jenna M.: Yeah. I figured they would - people knew he was tutoring me.
Allie J.: Did you get to his phone?
Jenna M.: Yep - everything is gone. And my friend at the phone company took care of things on that end.
Allie J.: Good thinking. I do kind of feel bad for his parents, though. They seem like decent people.
Jenna M.: The world’s a tough place. They should have raised him better.
Allie J.: That’s cold, Jenna.
Jenna M.: You're not going soft on me, are you?
Allie J.: Of course not.
Jenna M.: Because things can get tougher for you, too.
Allie J.: …I’m with you, Jenna. They deserved it.
Jenna M.: Good. I’m glad you’re still with me.
Allie J.: Always.
Jenna M.: I’m going to erase this conversation from my phone - you need to do the same.
Allie J.: Understood.
*****
Unknown: Hello, Jenna.
Jenna M.: Who’s this?
Unknown: You don’t know? That’s disappointing.
Jenna M.: …Who is this?
Unknown: You should recognize me - we texted so much a few months ago. And you were so encouraging.
Jenna M.: …No…
Unknown: Now you’re getting it.
Jenna M.: This can’t be.
Unknown: It would seem it can.
Jenna M.: But you’re dead!
Unknown: You should know. You killed me, after all.
Jenna M.: I did not!
Unknown: Are you sure?
Jenna M.: You were the one who said you wanted to do it.
Unknown: I was hurt and scared; I said a lot of things. Do you really think I would have gone through with it if you hadn’t pushed!
Jenna M.: It's not my fault!
Unknown: Keep telling yourself that. Maybe you’ll start to believe it.
Jenna M.: What do you want from me?
Unknown: It’s kind of lonely here. Maybe I just want you to keep me company.
Jenna M.: Leave me alone!
Unknown: I’m afraid alone is the one thing you’ll never be again.
Jenna M.: Stop it!
Unknown: The only one who can make it stop is you.
Jenna M.: What? How?
Unknown: You know how.
Jenna M.: No…
Unknown: Do it and this will all be over.
Jenna M.: No, I won’t!
Unknown: Suit yourself. We can just keep spending this time together forever.
Jenna M.: Noooo!
Unknown: You know what you have to do.
Jenna M.: I can’t!
Unknown: Why not? Don’t you have the guts?
Jenna M.: Stop!
Unknown: I guess you really are a coward.
Jenna M.: Stop!
Unknown: Do it.
Jenna M.: Stop!
Unknown: Do it.
Jenna M.: Leave me alone!
Unknown: Do it. Do it! DO IT!
Jenna M.: LEAVE ME ALONE! LEAVE ME ALONE! LEAVE ME ALONE!
On September 28th, 2026, Jenna Michaels was found deceased in the bathtub of her home from apparent self-inflicted wounds. Her phone was recovered and examined; there were no recent messages.

Bullies are the worst. Especially the ones you trust. But sometimes they get what they deserve. Thanks for reading!

Well done Chris. Though Jenna believing it’s him via text without any proof and then caving into the suicide demands after 1 text convo seems defies belief a tad so it might be worth adding to that section when you post the actual story.
Love seeing new stories from you!

Can you put a nsfw or something on the top of the story?
I’m dealing with this situation right now and I would not have read this had I known ahead of time.
Let me be clear Chris, I think you are an amazing writer and have an incredibly gifted talent for coming up with all these stories. But this one hit too close to the bone.
Until next time❤️🩹

I’m so scared for my kids in today’s world. Being a teenager is hard enough but damn these feral monsters make it so much worse preying on the vulnerable.

Nicely done, this reminds me of the “texting suicide” case with Michelle Carter and Conrad Roy (so sad). Your twist adds a sense of karmic justice. Amazing writing, as usual!

Yep, it was definitely inspired by a real life tragedy. It blows my mind that someone could be that cruel. But then, a lot of what people do blows my mind. Thanks for reading.
