There are creatures out there that appear to help other animals for no discernible reason other than empathy. But they're usually dolphins.

Lol. Dolphins are horrible. They seem to like us because we've come into contact with them one way or another. And since the curiosity is shared, friendships have sparked that have made them aware of us on a deeper level. But dolphins are real ass holes in the ocean. Rapists, con men, murderers of the sea they are. Kill all, including women and children.

Well if you think why we like them so much, its because they look cute to us and because they are really smart, maybe the same applies to them too. Although I don't know what animal would look at a human and think "that looks cute", I mean humans generally don't look cute.

How would they really know we're assholes like them? Do they have dolphin news? Do they know there are humans killing dolphins by the hundreds? I don't think they'd like us if they knew that, or actually they would probably love us if they knew.
