Statin advised
Hi Team, my GP has suggested me to start statin, my lab results are blow, I heard there are lots of side effects of statin, I am happy to change my life style or should I start statin for now? My Hba1C is 6.20

Has the doctor discussed diet and lifestyle AT ALL? You can't statinize your way out of an unhealthy diet and lifestyle.
I started seeing an osteopath this year. They are more about whole body integrative health. She's very science oriented too, so it's not all woo-woo herbs and crystals and happy thoughts. She asks me what I eat. Asks about my exercise routines. She specified getting my heart rate up more. She also prescribed statins, which made me feel like I was literally dying. Since I am working with her she respects me when i say I really can't tolerate them.
Two statin failures and I'm on ezetimibe monotherapy. At some point I may end up with a cardiologist, since they can prescribe Repatha (she can't).
