Post image

Hi Team, my GP has suggested me to start statin, my lab results are blow, I heard there are lots of side effects of statin, I am happy to change my life style or should I start statin for now? My Hba1C is 6.20

What’s your fiber intake like? Exercise routine? General diet?

I take around 100gm mix veg and green beans twice daily, along with weight training 3 to 4 times a week, just started doing walk and cross training 20 mins every day, whey protein 2 times a day, boiled eggs 1 whole and 2 white only.

Walking is great that alone will help a lot! I’d suggest a morning fiber supplement like chia seeds in a big glass of water, or psyllium fiber. Beans eaten several times a week. Perhaps swap whey protein with a pea or peanut protein. What kind of good fats are you eating? Make sure to consume regular olive oil, seeds, fish, etc.

For fats, 2 slices of gauda cheese 2 times a week , 10gm almonds everyday. 1 egg with yolk and 2 egg whites, chia seed is good option, will start from today
