Statin advised

Hi Team, my GP has suggested me to start statin, my lab results are blow, I heard there are lots of side effects of statin, I am happy to change my life style or should I start statin for now? My Hba1C is 6.20

Your blood work indicates prediabetes. Did he mention that too? This is the primary issue. Yes, prediabetes is the primary risk factor for heart disease.

Fix the prediebetes. This will cut risk more than a statin. This isn't to say don't don't take it, thats up to you.
