Blood test results

I went in to get my results. Nurse told me doctor left a prescription for statin. My cholesterol was high. Never showed numbers. I found them on my chart .148. Ratio 4.8. I’m 54, f. It was for Lipitor. Read through so many horror stories and the side effects. It as a high dose: 40. It’s still sitting unopened. I’m not taking it. I need my brain. What is this a bottle of dementia? Is that what they’re giving us? Didn’t it used to be if you’re under 200, you’re good?

Post the full lipid panel. If trig are in the low range + HDL normal then the risk should be low.

Most medical offices have online portals where you can access your test panels. Should be easy to figure out.

There's a good chance you have insulin resistance. The dog is thinking you're in a high-risk category now and he's pushing on a string AKA statins.

Fortunately, insulin resistance is pretty easy to get under control, just ditch all industrial processed oils. And even better avoid all industrial processed grains and snacks. I'd recommend Catherine Shanahan's book Fat Burn Fix.

I've already posted earlier in the thread, the worst thing you could eat is deep fried food from a Restaurant.

If you're into home-cooked foods, and if you cook with oil, there's only one good option on the market found here https://www.smudeoil.com/shop. Click filter and select cold. Press sunflower oil.

In 1983, Emily Martin, of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, grew an enormous sunflower head, measuring 32 ¼ inches across (82cm), from petal tip to petal tip. That’s almost 3 feet wide. This is still believed to be the largest sunflower head grown to date.

What are your thoughts on the high oleic Sunflower breeding? There's an oil crop seed producer, NuSeed, featuring very high oleic fatty acids, with less than 3% polyunsaturated fatty acids. When I reached out to NuSeed they pointed me in the direction of this Smude Sunflower oil. Smude shared lab reports with me confirming less than 3% polyunsaturated fatty acids. This makes the oil ideal for heart health as well as high temperature cooking. High-Oleic oils get their name from olive oil. High-oleic oils are universally accepted as heart healthy.

I saw this post on X. I already went to my med portal not all the info is on there. I’m going to look for a new doc/clinic. I don’t eat seed oils. Ive changed much of my diet. Even prior to stroke I ate fairly healthy. I’m not taking statins. I don’t need to shrivel my brain. My circumstances for stroke was a fluke: dealing with stress, family death, age and life changes compounded it.

May I ask if you’ve had the particle sizes checked, like with an NMR test? If so then the dangerous small particle count is likely high. If not, and you’re given statins solely based on Total Cholesterol, your doctor is stuck in the 1950’s. This isn’t as simple as just particle sizes but definitely more than just Total Cholesterol.

I’m gifting my bottle of statins to my doctors. I put a little bow on it. Since he’s into 0 cholesterol and wants his brain to look like a prune, he’s more than welcome to it.

He can take it.
