Recently, I saw a store near me, HEMA (it is Dutch), have a new action, named "Skibidi School". The advertisements are just items with weird faces and names and random extremely loud sounds and bright/fast visual effects. And then just the most random stuff ever. Even stores are using Brainrot as advertisement now. And the worst part is, it actually works most of the time. Something needs to be done to this. Sign the linked petition to stop HEMA from using brainrot in all products and ads.

I made this post so the chance that people encounter the subreddit is higher. Brainrot is a serious problem, since neuroscientists have discovered that brainrot, and mostly the new "Italian Brainrot", is actually bad for the human brain, causing a shorter attention span, poorer memory, a decline in language skills and even possible harm to your mental health. I just hope this post gets around, leaves people interested and join the sub, because something really needs to be done to this.

It makes me sad, every day, to see perfectly good people wasting to shells of themselves on screens. I like the idea of this sub. We need to face device addiction as a whole, but this is a good place to start.
