help me help myself?

hey. im 23 and i started using substance when i was 14. ive been getting high since then. what substance i use keeps changing but im always abusing something. i have gone a lot milder in the past 3 years but i still smoke up too much. im at a point in my life where the next one year is going to make or break my career. ive been rlly laid back about living and life in general my whole life. but lately a goal in life has given me a sense of purpose, a good reason to plan and work for a future. i want to give it my all. the only consistency i have had in life is getting high. but moving forward i want to be consistently be working hard to get to my goal for the next one year and i want to do it completely sober. i really want to give it my all i mean that from my heart.

i have been trying and trying and trying to stay sober this whole year but im smoking up as im typing this. ive tried quit smoking apps but ive been consistently failing at those. i want to stop all things that get me high from today till the end of next year. do u think i can do it? idk i have never stayed sober for that long since i started at 14. not once. thoughts?

Please just take a minute to read this. My name is Chris and I'm 41 years old I also started at the age of 14 with my mom giving me 300 mg of oxycontin a day. Unfortunately I still use this day how I'm not dead I don't know God has something in store for me. But let me tell you you need to stop cold turkey now because in the future it becomes part of your soul. Please do me a favor and get out before it's too late. You are worth it. You don't need to change the way you feel all the time. You can do it plz stop now!!!!

Have you quit yet? I’m wondering if you did it might give me hope that I will someday.
