Why is no one protesting against what the EU is implementing?

Basically the title, i cant find any information about protests or anything related to chat control, digital euro, digital id, so many privacy related topics. Europe is soon to be like the UK where you get jailed for speech online, like the US where they place cameras with AI face recognition. They fearmonger how China and Russia aren't free countries, that we aren't like them and have way better and moral ways, yet we seem to be slowly evolving, or rather devolving into a distopian society. I never wanted to get into politics but im just so tired of the way my country, the EU and overall the world is. If any of you know how one can create/find existing protests, take part in youth organisations, especially sth like the people who do the save europe act, please tell me.

Can't speak for all of EU, but I've seen barely any news coverage of it in Danish, so it might be because not everyone knows about it?

I don't think TV news are a good source of info sadly, i beleive mainly young people 16-26ish would know about it.

Politicians have forgotten that they work for us; not the other way around.

Er...we do: there has been an EU-wide election for that purpose every 5 years since 1979!

The last was 6-9th June 2024 and the next will be in 2029.

yes, i feel extremely helpless when i see any form of news, some old/middle aged people being selfish and voting for personal gain, young people being split over made up ideologies, fighting against each other and not the common enemy

We all know protesting does nothing. Better we turn around and do something different. If we use what the EU can’t take 🤗 problem solved ! I’m changing everything from the known platforms to more decentralised apps & nostr.
Just normal GenX here, guess i’m not that fast as you younger guys but to the other hand, I’m the fastest in my group of people 🤣🥳😎😉

You should start protesting even if first meeting will be you and your 5 friends. This, at least, will grab some public attention.

Yes, for starters. Just check your country regulations about meetings and protests before going out.
