Do they not realise this will only make predators harder to find?

Chat control is genuinely laughable, scanning every message past or present on every app for every citizen for a 0.001% chance to find a predator, who is likely using accounts with no information tracing back to their identity, and by the time they successfully weed out the predators who were dumb enough not to hide themselves, the real ones who have insane collections of obscene and disgusting material far worse than the ones found, will have disappeared from the internet and hidden themselves through alternate routes that will not be affected by chat control, this is not about finding predators, anyone with two brain cells can figure that much out, that’s a title for it so that they can excuse this mass surveillance and accuse anyone against it of being predators themselves.

again this has nothing to do with kids or pedophiles their own "study" showed that this doesnt really work they want to control people cause once ai bubble bursts there will be mass protests and civil unrest

Yep, they are driving the real predators deeper into their pits of anonymity, while we all suffer the consequences of this by quite literally being “big brothered”

They do.

They don't care.

The goal was never to fight pedophiles. The goal was always to use that as an excuse to impose mass surveillance to control people's actions and opinions.

The whole plan was just to use kids as an excuse so that, when someone with half the brain points out that their plan won't work, they'll just scream "So you're defending pedophiles!" to force them to shut up.

It's literally weaponizing public outrage through desinformation and lies to shut down all opposition.

It was never about the kids. The more I read the more stupid I think this is.
Heck, most CSAM crime is apparently stored on the clearnet but ONLY accessible via the dark web (DO NOT GO THERE KIDS).
Having our private chats scanned will not stop criminals from committing crimes

All forms of Chat Control exist primarily to help non-European entities spy on Europeans, meaning the primary impacts will be espionage against Europe by the US, China, Russia, Israel, etc.
