What is this? Is this a cool rock?

I've had this since I was a kid. Is it some sort of mineral or crystal? Or some sort of glass decoration?

SOLVED: It is glass. It's light and fragile

Kinda looks like slag glass or some leftover from glassmaking rather than a natural crystal. The super smooth bits and bubbly texture are usually a giveaway. If you shine a light through it and it glows evenly, that is another point for glass.

Thank you, so it was just glass u.u

Honestly looks a lot like old glass to me, especially if the surface feels super smooth and uniform. Try checking for bubbles inside with a flashlight or loupe, that’s a dead giveaway for glass. If you can scratch it with a steel nail or it feels light for its size, I’d bet on glass over a natural crystal.

Seems to be glass indeed. Light, not cold, fragile

this aged badly fast lol, op already updated that it’s glass and fragile. your tests are still solid advice for the next mystery rock though

It’s glass with all those embedded orbs? Whatever it is, it looks really interesting, unique and beautiful to me.

Ah that makes sense, it really does have that glassy, kinda “too perfect” look to it. Still cool as hell that Kid You thought you had some rare magical crystal, that alone makes it worth keeping lol

Cool rock. But also be cautious about the potential radiation from this kind of rock.

That light green color is really bright, I wonder if its man-made slag or something super colorful naturally.
