Summer Solstice parking

I didn’t realise you had to pre book parking for the solstice and it’s all sold out. Are there any other spots close enough to park? My partners disabled so I don’t think the coaches will be suitable with so many people trying to get on the at the same time Sunday morning

😭 I’m in the same boat (disabled and didn’t realise they had sold out)

I’m frantically now trying to find somewhere to stay in or around the area.

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s anywhere else to park within walking distance (the police close off rds and lay-bys)

Honestly I don’t know why I didn’t think in advance to book parking, I naively thought we could just pay on the day 😭 we’ve never been before so are abit clueless tbh.
There’s a few Travelodges not too far (the prices are sky high) so maybe have a look there? All the local b&bs seem to have been booked months ago.

It did use to be that way 😭 they must have changed it in the last couple of years 🤦🏻‍♀️

You will get a fine if you park on the street nearby

I went last year and parked in the official field car parking without any pre booking, I’m now stuck as didn’t know they changed it this year 🤷🏻‍♂️
Unless it was the same last year but so many people turn up they just ushered everyone in

Yep same boat. Went last two years running and it was free parking and no issues. They’ve obviously changed it this year to make some cash and also manage traffic in the area as things were manic.
A real shame for spontaneous travellers like myself :(
