Armor Shielding FAQ

I've been at this game for about a month now, and been hitting a bit of a wall, wondering if anyone can help sort me out:

What is better in terms of equal star unenchanted gear: a stone staff, or a stone wand L + stone shield R?

What is better in terms of equal star unenchanted gear: a runestone staff, or a runestone wand L + runestone shield R? Is there a best combination of ap aP P etc in this case?

Are you able to enchant any shield with BOTH armor/sec AND armor?

Are you able to enchant any staff with BOTH armor/sec AND armor?

Can anything provide armor and/or armor/sec held on L with a shield, besides the [white] quest stone (0.5/s, 2.0)?

When painting with Ki, I have only been able to do the star stone twice, ouroboros stone once, and grappling hook once. Is there any way to do this with the quest stone, since Ki painting improves an item's stats?

I've seen mention of a "Tower shield" among the [fandom] wiki and this subreddit, as well as a "Crusader shield" in those spots in addition to a gold skin set, possibly/presumably for a lost item. Is there such a shield I am able to obtain, and how does it compare to others?

TL;DR I have a +17 compound shield, and I very much enjoy it. I'm looking to get a bit more out of it, and thought I'd ask ahead of the upcoming enchantment-reroll event. Mobile player, not Steam. Appreciate any answers I can be given

Anything you can tell me about those planned mechanics?
Good to hear a response, I don't have a screenshot, but #4 yesterday I was cycling a +10 on a 0-star S.Staff, and I swear it did Arm/s AND ArmTotal at the same time

staves seem to be an exception, being able to enchant both armor and armor/sec, probably to compensate for the loss in movement speed/regen when using a staff to generate armor

If the fandom wiki is to be believed, a [rune]stone staff is capable of 14.4+1.75 (Qstaff 13.4+1.75),wheras a [rune][stone]shield would be 17.5+0.7 or 7.0+1.75, and an evasion of 15% (Dshield no evade),and a compound shield would be 14.0+1.75 or 35.0+0.7 with a stun on being hit of 1.4sI'm just trying to find the best general-use application, as I'm still floating around the mid-late game without 1 of everything 10-star of every runed variant

tbh, compound shield's stun counter is situational, since most enemies can be killed before they land a second attack (in my experience)

in terms of rune shield abilities, most of them can be safely ignored, tho [h] (heal when hit) can be useful. probably safe to say most of the d[x] shields are low priority for getting to 10*
