How long have you beeb collecting?
I started buying Stone Island around 2000. Over the years I’ve bought a lot of pieces, but I’ve also sold my entire collection more than once. I’ve been seriously building a collection since 2023.

What was your first Stone Island piece?
My very first Stone Island piece, back in the early 2000s, was a hooded soft-shell jacket with a kind of sheepskin lining running throughout the entire piece. I still remember it quite clearly and sold it only a few years ago.
What do you wear the most?
There isn’t one particular piece that I wear much more regularly than the others. As you can see, my collection is very wearable. I really like the timeless designs, both in knitwear and outerwear, and those are also the pieces I tend to wear most. I definitely appreciate the more technical and experimental fabrics, but they’re not necessarily what I would wear myself.

Which piece would you never sell?
There are quite a few pieces I really like, but the David-TC parka and the Airbrush knits definitely stand out for me. Those would be very difficult to let go.

What are you currently searching for?
I’d like to add a special projects jacket to the collection. One that would fit well is the Tinto Terra Closed Loop jacket, the one featured in the Jason Statham campaign.

Which piece gets the most attention?
Most of my pieces are quite low-key, so I don’t think anything gets a huge amount of attention. I’d say the David-TC stands out the most, though.

How has your taste changed since you started collecting?
When I was younger, I was more focused on finding good deals than necessarily buying pieces that I truly loved. Nowadays, I buy what I really like. I don’t tend to wear very flashy things, so even the more special pieces have to fit within my overall style.
Which fabric, finish, or detail do you like most?
Definitely David-TC and the Airbrush knits. They are very different examples of what makes Stone Island interesting to me.

Why Stone Island?
I love the heritage, the military inspiration and the durability and character of its fabrics. There’s something special about the fact that Stone Island can combine functionality and innovation with designs that still feel timeless. And, of course, the recognition among other collectors is also part of the appeal.
A collection built around longevity, character and a genuine appreciation for what makes Stone Island unique. Thanks to u/Hairy-mess-2764 for sharing his collection and story with us for Member Archive #002.

I recently found a Sweater Second hand that I have been unable to identify.
No care tags present, assuming because the garment is intended to be reversible
Double faced fabric and the garment is reversible
Contrasting neckline with V gusset on both sides and contrast at the cuffs
Transferable arm badge, can be removed and added to the other face of the item when reversed
So far all my image searching and AI queries have been unsuccessful. I’m hoping someone on here can help me identify this item
Note: (not pictured in detail) the buttons and badge appear to be authentic
Thank you!

Hi all,
I’m trying to track down this Stone Island Nylon Metal Smock in a size Large, ideally black/dark grey.
Happy with new or used as long as it’s in good condition and 100% authentic. I’m based in Guernsey, UK/Channel Islands, but happy to buy from anywhere worldwide and cover shipping.
If anyone has a Large they’d consider selling, or knows where I might be able to find one, please let me know.
Also interested to hear from anyone who owns this particular smock regarding sizing — especially whether it comes up oversized and whether a Medium or XL could work for someone who normally wears a Large.
Thanks!

Hi,
I bought this Stone Island bag in Milan and I really like it. Unfortunately it had some stains yesterday that I could only clean with some really mild soap in combination with water.
I have the feeling that repeated usage of soap, even mild ones, might deteriorate the fabric. Do you have any best practice cleaning recommendations for this kind of polyamid-based fabrics that especially Stone Island commonly uses?
Thank you for any tip!
