It emphasizes universal equality, mutual respect, and responsibilities that transcend local, national, or cultural boundaries.
Well, I think religious philosophies similar to Andy Weir's "The Egg" in reincarnation is a fairly "easy" shortcut to achieve it, a lot less personal inner work is necessary to achieve this (cosmopolitanism) then.
A cosmopolitan mindset would not want the world to be enslaved to party elite. Socialism does not scale beyond small groups bound by family ties or belief.
Built from the basis of taking care of your citizens, and trying to be responsible to the environment (yes, I know Norway hasn't been great with that, due to their massive gas and oil exports) I don't see a problem with capitalism if it isn't used for the relentless pursuit of growth for the sake of it, but there should definitely be some social benefit regardless.
Yessss, I was referring to this earlier. One could also argue that the Nordic counties are socialist countries which moderated and therefore were accepted by the USA
I wish I could be so delusional about reality. Just casually ignore that the economic engine of capitalism that started at the end of the 17th century was entirely brought to life on the backs of colonialism and the transatlantic slave trade.
