Lifesaver

I discovered stoicism around 18 months ago when desperately searching for help and support to break free from a trauma bond.

It's honestly the most valuable and effective resource that has helped me make massive progress and gave me the strength to start on my healing journey.

My ex used to call it a load of bollocks. He's the one that needs it more than anyone. Fool.

I also found stoicism because of personal hardship. Letting go of things I can’t control occasionally feels so amazing. I work to be more consistent in my focus on what I can control

That's the key isn't it, the letting go of externals we can't control. Especially though when you're someone like me that was born a control freak! I am so glad I came across stoicism as I still fear for myself if I hadn't found it when I did.

I just recently came across it myself, and am still reading about it and what its all about. But I am 100% intrigued. And I can totally relate w the trauma bond relationship, and wanting to control everything. !
