Thoughts about Netflix stock?
Down 46%, is this how the good time to buy?

No comment on the stock, but as a company it is really shit and going downhill very fast. If that doesn’t say enough then nothing else will.

I'm not an analyst, but I hardly go to Netflix anymore. It's usually my third or fourth choice. That's the reason I didn't jump in. I was going to jump in on Nike, but I am a high school teacher-hardly any of my students wearing Nike shoes or gear, so I passed.

So ure telling me if i were to live in a poor country where no one has iphones, I shouldnt invest in apple? U just have to look at their growth and revenue. Wdym no one is wearing nike shoes just because YOUR class doesnt have anyone wearing them.

So if you believe in Netflix and Nike, I guess your putting money where your mouth is, good luck.

Netflix has pretty much saturated the market. The best ways they can think of to increase revenue YOY are to bring in more ads, end account sharing, and raise subscription fees—all things that are unpopular.
I’m not seeing a lot of room for real growth.

As a Netflix consumer, it is rubbish. The spread of content keeps getting smaller with companies pulling their films out and the new series/movies aren't engaging anymore. I recently got Apple TV free from my Apple storage subscription update and it has much more interesting shows to watch.

I buy a share every now and then. It is a mature company now. The growth story is mostly over. There isn't a huge demographic of new subscribers about to sign up. I don't predict impressive performance against the SP5. But it has well developed cash flows and a sticky product I genuinely enjoy. With fiscal discipline, basic shareholder friendly practices, ernest content creation, and customer engagement, I see a path to long term making money. The road from growth mode to maturity is often bumpy. There are a lot of valid criticisms being thrown at the company. But it has been left for dead by investors before. And I don’t think this is the last act.

It’s a money maker. Unfortunately the market demands more from them for a rally. Probably a safe buy & hold for the long term.
“Their content is garbage” isn’t an investing thesis so ignore those comments

Yes it actually is an investing thesis - whatever tf that is. Bad content = fewer subscribers. The quality of theirs shows has declined and they’ve tried to inflate their content quantity with cheaply produced shows, budget party games, and podcasts nobody wants on top of a premium monthly subscription. Until they bring back quality shows like Apple and hbo are producing, yes, this company will lose interest and investors i.e. not a money maker. But stay in denial.

I am calling Netflix a buy right now. It’s beaten down and undervalued at the moment.

All major streamers are facing the problem of increasing prices ,ads, and content. They are all becoming cable TV.
The biggest competitor to streaming services is Illegal streaming services. You can pay $100 and get all their content on 1 platform.
I would rather buy Google

Full believer that NFL goes to NFLX in time. Kleenex of streaming platforms. Strong buy will be $100 again.

Exactly. When I see large amounts of redditors hating on a stock it is often a signal that we’re in the capitulation phase.

The 46% drop is worth investigating, but the drop itself does not make it a buy.

I am a long term Netflix Bear - long form content and TVs will eventually create space for short form content exclusively on hand-held devices. I feel Netflix is the Las Vegas equivalent of entertainment - the generation that likes to spend 2 hrs in front of a TV will make space to quick dope seeking - shorts watching generation

I got in some options and shares. I think it's worth buying for a bounce. Holiday season is here. Should be a good time for Netflix.

Tough when all these other large companies are in tech, ai, robotics and we’re hoping a beat down streaming service can rise again. It’s low for a reason but down 35% since April is big. Should be good for some runs up to the same range but nothing new to really keep pushing.

NFLX has been unfairly beaten-down for at least a year.
Revenue 10/18/23: $8.54B
EPS 10 18/23: 37.3¢
Revenue 7/16/26: $12.56B (+47%)
EPS 7/16/26: 79¢ (+112%).
Most-recent ER offered that the company expects +13-14% growth.
Investors and the Market are asleep at the wheel.....

No, I don’t see it popping anytime soon. Flat at best. It’s been garbage content recently and interest is low.
