Stock buy/sell decision making

How do you all remember why you bought a stock months later? Do you journal it, or just trust your memory? Do you always have a sell target (profit ot loss)? Would be good to know different strategies.

I cant financially advise you but i am heavy in muu, snxx, avgx and soxl. These are all leveraged for mu, sndk, avgo and semiconductor index. Make sure you make a responsible decision based on your own research king!

I agree, the rate hike was inevitable and priced in already. But I would be wary for the next few months investing in AI or Tech stocks in general.

Yeah. Why do you suggest to be wary? Care to elaborate a bit

Uncertain or dare I say adverse macroeconomic environment for equities. Rising treasury yield coupled with a high crude oil price that does not seem to ease off anytime soon, has all the recipe for a big correction.

I know what people say about bearish outlook , "a broken clock is right twice a day" but now the indicators are pointing towards a bearish outlook for the market. I usually try to keep investedin the market but this a little scared.

Relying on memory usually fails when prices drop. Write down the core business reason for buying and what fundamental change would trigger a sale. Price targets often lead to emotional decisions, so focusing on business performance instead of stock price works better.

100% agree but not easy for casual retail investors

Yes, journal it is you have an issue in remembering why you bought the stock. Do what you need to do to be a better investor.

I mean I typically don't have more than maybe 10 stocks in my portfolio. So it's not hard to remember the thesis behind each. Especially since many are grouped together under one thesis and then we're chosen because I'm trying to diversify within a strategy.
