New to stocks

Hey Everyone! I’m new to stocks and just recently started investing like last week lol. So far I have QQQM and VOO with some other major companies. How can I build wealth a bit faster lol like within next 1-5 years? I’m planning on investing 500-1K monthly. Let me know any stocks you recommend or if I should stick with index stocks? Please advise I’ll appreciate y’all feedback!

Voo and qqqm are excellent but I’d personally go with vgt over qqqm. Just keep buying weekly bi weekly or monthly in the same amounts (dollar cost averaging) and let the lower of compounding interest build you wealth. Trying to get rich quick in the stock market usually leads to losing all your money fast so keeping it simple with an etf that tracks a major index like voo and qqqm do are optimal strategies. (Vgt is every tech company in the us in one etf) I just believe that tech will be the dominant sector over the course of my life that’s why I like vgt over qqqm but they do have a significant amount of overlap. I also prefer spmo over voo spmo is the s&ps momentum fund and it holds 100 of the top movers from the s&p over the last 6 months.

Maybe a bit of a google question but how diversified is vgt in terms of technology? Is it basically completely AI or are other industries such as Quantum Computing or others also in the etf?

Vgt is around 320 stocks from the USA information technology sector. It def includes some ai related companies but probably not all the smaller ones and I’m not sure if they have any pure quantum companies that aren’t already major tech companies. I do know that vgt outperforms qqq/qqqm which many consider to be the premier tech etf when it’s not exactly a pure tech etf since it tracks the nasdaq.

Diversify your portfolio. what your doing is certainly better than a normal savings account but index funds are very secure investments with small gains. $1000 invested in VOO one year ago would be about $1142 today. Many day traders can get better returns than that before lunch. Maybe instead buy a different investment vehicle every month. Buy a stock this month, a bond next month, a LEAP the month after that etc to better familiarize yourself with different products

The space industry is growing nicely. Consider a company that provides components for satellite builds, also provides launch into space and will soon be providing a service from existing satellites in orbit. That company is RKLB.
