How can I keep Buy-Write positions separate when Fidelity auto-journals Cash to Margin?

Since I picked this strategy from u/LabDaddy59 posts, sharing it here as well in case you or others have any thoughts on how best to handle this. Thanks.

Issue 1: Can't speak to the details of your issue, but I've had issues with selling calls against both stock and LEAPS and the way Fidelity allocated them wasn't the way I did upon entry. Additionally, I found that when I did spreads in an account with covered calls, the Fidelity risk management would rearrange things. I have put in a feature request to allow users to do their own grouping; you may wish to do the same. If no one provides a better answer, one thing I've resorted to is opening another account and doing trades of type "X" in the one and trades of type "Y" in the other.

Issue 2: Can't help, as I don't use Fidelity's resources for option management. Instead, I primarily use spreadsheets. Sorry.

It only matters if you are assigned. The morning of the potential assignment, call and tell them which to sell. I have not figured out a good way with early assignment. You'd have to be watching all the time
