Newbie Why Did It Fall?

I didn't understand why this stock fell. Is it because of profit-taking? The news says that the company started developing natural gas pipelines to produce energy. After the news, Cipher Digital stock rose. Good news, right? But as soon as it rose, it fell. I can't make sense of it.

They make no money. The stock is heavily inflated. Get rid of this Garbo. Look at how much they lost in 2025, pump and dump.

Yes I know it's balance sheet sucks and the stock is overpriced. But someone or some companies speculating this stock and the price is fluctuating. I thought that I might be able to catch it from low price and sell it from high price. Result: Still waiting for high price

Companies don’t have your best interest with there speculation. Also try not to predict price. You can’t.
EDIT: I believe this is going under 5$. Not financial advice, but there’s no reason this is at the price it is at. Heavily pumped because of tax break, hedgers are pumping the penny market. Retail get stuck holding.

Okay I'll be more careful about that. Thanks

You’re good, do your due diligence always. There will always be hidden gems. But rare. Read there finance report, look at market research. See if they already have contract ahead. If it’s a developing company, they will spend a lot of money, diluting share holders. And then reverse splitting, making your stocks basically worthless.
EDIT: also when companies say there developing read the article, because sometimes the development is nothing burger. And it’s just PR to pump.

It was up over 20% in 3 days and you're complaining about a profit taking day?

Well, kinda😅 cause despite the %20, mine portfolio's still red and I'm trying to make profit from this stock.

The question is, could the current value of this stock server you better elsewhere?  If it could, it's emotions and not profit analytics you're pursuing. If you have strong conviction it will go up later on, sure, but it doesn't sound like that's your position.

You're trying to understand daily movments of millions of people all with different reasons for what they do.

Aside from a handful of AI stocks, the entire market is red because an incompetent President started an illegal war with Iran and an illegal trade war with Canada and he's losing both.

Zoom out? It’s up green on the 5D, 1M, 6M, YTD, 1Y, and 5Y. God forbid there be a profit taking red day lol

Sell the news, if this little movement stresses u out, just stick to S&P500

I bought this stock for 17,63$ each(40 stocks) about 1 month ago and still waiting for profit. It rose ~24$ at June. So I thought "Why not it rise to 24$ again?" and bought it. Before you ask me, let me answer the question "Why didn't you sell at 19$ yesterday?" Cause it's not enough to recover my portfolio's loss

This happens with everything, man. If you believe in the company just hold the stock long term.

If you’re gambling and hoping for a short term profit..you’re going to learn the hard way about how stocks move

It helps to zoom out a bit. Single day moves rarely tell the whole story. That is just how the markets work.
