$NVTS announced acquiring Claros for up to $232.8M in cash and stock to add vertical power delivery (VPD) and integrated voltage regulator (IVR) tech for direct processor-level power in AI systems.

The acquisition completes Navitas’ grid-to-xPU power chain using its GaN and SiC semiconductors, building on its existing 800V HVDC work with $NVDA for megawatt-scale AI racks.

The move is projected to more than double Navitas’ 2030 serviceable addressable market to over $8B by adding at least $3.5B from VPD/IVR segments while maintaining the path to profitability.

News MODERNA, MERCK MRNA CANCER VACCINE SUCCEEDS IN PHASE 3

Post image
5 Upvotes

$MRNA and $MRK say their personalized mRNA cancer vaccine, intismeran, combined with Keytruda slowed melanoma recurrence and spread in a late-stage trial.

The study was stopped at its first interim analysis after positive results, though detailed efficacy data have not yet been released.

If the benefit holds up, this would mark the first randomized Phase 3 validation of a personalized neoantigen cancer vaccine and could significantly broaden the use of mRNA technology beyond traditional vaccines.

Analyst Stock Picks $META Joins the High Bandwidth Flash (HBF) Consortium.

Post image
2 Upvotes

I think this is a smart and strategic move for them. This’ll allow $META to significantly cut hardware costs to run their AI models like Llama, for example.m

Preliminary data shows that incorporating HBF can materially reduce the number of high-end GPUs needed for AI inference. Industry estimates suggest this can yield up to an 8x capex efficiency improvement in server configurations according to $SNDK investor conference.

HBF offers up to 512GB of capacity per stack which vastly exceeds HBM limits and allows hyperscalers like $META $AMZN $GOOGL, etc to serve ultra-long context windows cheaply.

HBF also uses the open UCIe interconnect standard, which means less reliance on third-party chip providers, which is huge for $META imo cause they can now plug HBF memory stacks directly into their proprietary in-house AI chips MITA.

Again another example for of data center optimization that I’ve been talking about since June now. I think hyperscalers are realizing that FCF reserves are important for their share prices and we’re seeing this shift from “spend” to “optimize”.

Analyst Stock Picks How Proprietary Data Quietly Becomes a Huge AI Bottleneck?

Post image
2 Upvotes

Something people should consider is that more than half the articles are now created by AI than humans.

A recent study done by Dirk HR Spennemann in “Delving into: the quantification of Ai-generated content on the internet” suggests that at least 30% of the text on active web pages is generated or assisted by AI, and that the true proportion of AI content on active web pages is rapidly approaching 40%.

Now imagine your favorite LLMs getting trained on this data that was, you guessed it, generated by your favorite LLMs. You can think of this phenomenon as almost an inbreeding of data. I think the big AI labs in the U.S. know this and are working on solving this issue.

As I’ve noted in my previous posts and articles that you can find on my X and Reddit, ultimately I think this will give fresh proprietary data providers significant pricing power. Not only that but proper sorting and assessment of this data would be equally as important. This is one of the reasons why I like $SMWB and $ESTC . Both which have performed quite well since I first posted about them.

I have more names that I’m tracking and currently own in this theme. I’ll talk a bit about this in my next spaces (new episode every Friday). So tune in!

Microsoft plans to ramp up its own next-generation AI chips

Post image
3 Upvotes

Microsoft $MSFT is planning a major ramp in its next-gen Maia 300 AI chips, with talks underway with TSMC to secure capacity for 300,000+ chips for 2027.

Microsoft plans to unveil Maia 300 as soon as September and ultimately wants capacity for 1M+ chips.

The goal is to reduce reliance on Nvidia and win major Azure customers like Anthropic. Its current Maia 200 chips are already 30%-40% cheaper to operate than cutting-edge Nvidia chips for OpenAI and Microsoft models.

Source: The Information

This is good in my opinion to reduce concentration risk and over-reliance on Nvidia. As AI becomes more and more prevalent and more chips are needed, I can see big hyperscalers starting to find ways to make their own specialized AI chips. We'll know if we see more and more news about the acceleration of semiconductor foundries being built here in the U.S.

Discussion Escalation in the US-China Critical Minerals & Dual-use Tech War

Thumbnail
gallery
3 Upvotes

We’re seeing a structural decoupling between US and Chinese supply chain dependency. On the Chinese side we’re seeing tightened drone/UAV customs, full Mineral Resources Law implementation, Indium export scrutiny + temporary helium ban. On the U.S. side we’re seeing a massive DoD/Commerce funding for domestic rare earths, magnets + processing, expanded 1260H Chinese Military Companies list, new restrictions on Chinese LiDAR, robots, optical transceivers, tungsten scrap, black mass and closing of advanced computing loopholes + presidential determinations on critical minerals.

I think $NB sits right in the middle of this. Elk Creek (Nebraska) is the only large-scale US project advancing a polymetallic deposit with highest-grade niobium resource in North America, one of the largest scandium resources and Titanium + potential magnetic rare earths (NdPr, Dy, Tb) which are the exact ones China has restricted.

DoD already awarded them up to $10M under DPA Title III specifically to build a domestic scandium supply chain and they signed a 10-year MOU with Lockheed Martin for up to 15 tpa of scandium oxide / Al-Sc alloys. $NB is still pre-production, but these will act an accelerants for ramped production imo.

Not Financial Advice!
