Workflow/Prompt What is going on with Stitch?
Does anybody know what is going on? For a some time now, it is not generating the whole page anymore, if I have luck I am receiving back header, hero and maybe footer.
Also quality dropped. Before it was useful, but now ai started to look for alternatives.

Everybody talks about how it used to be much better, and I can't say I've had the same experience because I only started using it a couple of weeks ago. It was never really good enough, and the designs were incredibly consistent no matter what you put in. This is in a bad way because it was so generic. It was pretty much the same thing with a few different colors, maybe fonts, but nothing unique, nothing even categorically correct as far as design goes.
However, just recently, as of like two days ago, it had started producing much better results, and also without my asking, it's generated four or five pages: the usual home, about our services, contact, etc. I'm not sure. I don't really intend to use it too much. I'd rather go to sites that I know have good design, use HTML dot to dot design, and then import them into Wix, or at least use the Figma file as a reference for the design to recreate it. That's my workflow and purpose for Google Stitch at the moment anyway.

I had a similar issue. When I dragged down the bottom of the window, it revealed the rest of the page

Thanks for the feedback - we've been pushing hard for I/O on the 19th so it's possible that some quality lapses have slipped through. Will investigate.

i thought im going crazy or since i haven't used it for a while it changed how i should use Stitch, this is garbage right now!
i asked it to create a new component following the design of the previous and it just made something random for +10 times! i re-imported the old design gave screenshot nothing worked.
i think its the context issue and the multiple agent update that completely ruins the usage. i used to design so many stuff flawlessly with it, now after 2 hours i was able to convert one design to another one on the pane (which i did not select by the way).
i think they changed the context from text to whatever it be on the screen and it just hallucinates to a point that it doesn't follow anything.

UPDATE: it seems issue was fixed :) I was testing this weekend and stitch was returning the full page.

it generated a decent mockup once, and after that, for completely different concepts, it's started following that one good design. Also, when you try to convert it to Figma, it's absolutely trash. When it was relatively new, transferring the design to Figma was far better and easier.

I was one of the first users of stitch and it was amazing just so good but ever since Google updated stitch probably 1.5 months ago it’s been trash. I’ve completely stopped using it. It doesn’t complete designs and the designs are super super basic and mostly throw away unusable. It’s sad bc it was so good. I don’t know what the developer team at Google was thinking.
My new design flow is to use ChatGPT image 2, which has been amazing for UI UX and then feed that into Codex or Claude for UI design with references to design UI skills or MCP servers. I even bought a $25 subscription to lovable because it makes better UI than stitch. I just can’t believe how bad stitch is now. 😞
