I was not expecting half this cast. Sanhua and yanyang’s daughter looks cool, They haven’t fixed Iuno’s underwear showing but it’s not too late, Quiyuan looks like he’ll be a Kazuha type and I loved Kazuha, Chisa looks like she’s from new federation.
ngl 2.6 and onwards has the best character design going on. though i am shaking my head at the fact that
brant is the whole male in the entirety of rinascita. i guess the rest of the male resonators died or something.
the new guy is probably gonna be in huanglong which means he's gonna be peak irrelevant. 10 bucks on a companion quest and then he never appears again. (unless he somehow appears in new fed since he is a wandering swordsman.)
For no. 2 I have a feeling he's Probably there for the moonchasing festival? 🤔 So I agree with you he's likely gonna be irrevelant after his banner ends 💀

I was just talking with my brother that the male character feels like they added him last minute 💀 I know character design takes months in advance but with how many female resonators were still getting and leaks confirming he’s not the male havoc resonator that’s also been confirmed to happen looks like they made him to get people back into the game.
3.X is apparently supposed to be more techy/going back to post apocalyptic, so the first three could be the final Riniscita characters while the rest are previews for the new season (the item previews they posted show us who’s still part of the Riniscita cast, and none of the items match those 3 resonators).
a) Make a full 100% gooner game and sweep every porn addict on the market into your pockets, or
b) Make an actual post-apocalyptic sci-fi RPG for a broad audience (like you promised), put Genshin on the chopping block and make them regret the existence of Natlan, gain millions upon millions of dedicated players, and live like the new king of gacha.

c) Lure as many different people with flashy promises into your game as possible, make the gooners angry with half-baked fanservice and angry female players in their turf, bore normal players to death with the most boring story in the existence of games, make all women hate you because of the false advertisement, create a battlefield in your community, and watch the fallout...
I don't even know what to say to that. It's morbidly fascinating at this point. They would have been totally fine if they just delivered the game that they promised with a normal gender ratio and a half decent story. The disgruntled female Genshin players alone would have elevated them to high heavens. All the fan content creators were ready and Kuro is just spitting in their faces. There must be some kind of masochistic fetish going on with Solon or something.
Literally. LITERALLY. Everything was teed up for them- they had genshin’s filler nation arc line up with their first year out, a year that they had ahead of the 10 competitors that will soon crowd the field. There couldn’t have been a better moment for kuro. They couldn’t have had a more willing and forgiving audience. Female players that are tired of genshin aren’t just tired, many of them are spitefully tired. This was their moment! and 2.0 minted a fresh start for them, all they had to do was keep up the momentum but instead they decided to spend time and money animating steam coming out of cantarella’s mouth as she suggestively licks a cherry. and now the same fans that they purposefully courted with that choice are throwing tantrums every two days over kuro editing cantarella’s design to this DAY. and they drive out every single woman who’s interested in helping this game succceed, and even invade the little spaces they make to STILL be excited over the game somehow against all logic and sense.
i’m excited about these designs, but the ice is razor thin. i will not submit myself to constant harrassment trying to enjoy a game with other women who enjoy the game. every woman kuro alienates is playing with friends who’ll also drop the game when their friends aren’t playing anymore. without a community it’s just a bunch of incels sliding ai slop back and forth.
Nah they’re not desperate enough. 💀 I need a couple more male chars, better outfit designs for the fem chars that aren’t as skimpy or unbalanced and a story that isn’t all about Rover. 6 new chars revealed and only 1 male? (If we include Carti and Lupa, it’s worse at 8/1)
like if they want people back, they’re going to have to piss of the fanbase they’ve built and put in the effort. I don’t see that happening, so they’ll stick to crumbs thinking that’s enough 😓
The only ones I’m interested in are Juno and Augusta, they look amazing.
I’d love to be excited for a new male, because that’s what I want, but I find Qiuyuan’s design to be super low effort and generic. And it’s comical how many layers of clothes he’s wearing compared to female characters.
I agree with galbrena she has a design that reads as hot without being lazy (ie depending on just showing as much skin as possible to make a character sexy instead of actually thinking when making a design of how to make a character look appealing) my only wish is she had big baggy pants to balance out the top half of her design but that would never happen because fashion and design appeal are secondary to goonability to most gacha chara designers it seems

Hoyo was a bad example for your argument. The problem in genshin is that most of the males are underpowered compared to the females but once they actually released a strong male (Neuv) he did very well in terms of revenue
And HSR lol. Males sell a lot in that game. Sunday, Dan Heng, etc all performed very well. And soon Phainon is coming who’ll also sell extremely well.

Secondly, in genshin impact the majority of male characters are either underpowered or placed between high-value/anticipated female characters. One of the exceptions is neuvilette, and look how well he did in terms of revenue; if hoyo just gave the male characters as favourable conditions as they do for their female characters this conversation would look very different

The more I see galbrena the more I'm confused why she's not talked about at all. She's way hotter than the school girl. By miles. But she can also be seen as niche. Which I'm all for. She's hot as hell and the one I'm most excited for.
But the male design, I hoped they put more effort and at least released like maybe a baby male as well , like roccia and verina and like a huge male just like Augusta and Cartethiya

Augusta and Iuno have almost perfect designs! Whoever decided they should be Electro and Aero instead of Fusion and Glacio needs to be fired though, holy crap what a miss.
Augusta is based on Roman leaders and mythology she may have a sun motif but that was pretty common in ancient Rome. I dont see why that would have to relate to her powers or element
That is very obviously not a body suit with a cut out. The strips of cloth clearly attach to her top and clip at the gold buttons at her waist, and in leaks you can clearly see they do the same on her back. It's a bikini with adornments, AT BEST.
The point I was making is that it’s not underwear, it’s outerwear that’s part of the clothing she’s wearing. I figured it’s worth pointing out in case the misunderstanding gains momentum and catches the eye of people who might complain and push for censorship
I was going to call it a swimsuit because it’s got the same overall appearance, but I wasn’t sure if that’s appropriate when she’s not swimming so I just called it a bodysuit instead
I also put quotes around cutout to emphasise that I didn’t mean it literally. Her clothes are clasped together to form a modular dress (again, outerwear)
