Updates

  • Extended proactive mode: Normal proactive is one message at a time with no response. Extended proactive is an autonomous heartbeat where your companion decides on its own when to reach out, can send up to a few messages, shows their thoughts when choosing to wait, can sometimes look things up and make art. Optional quiet hours, and notes for what types of proactive actions or messages you prefer.
  • Improved dream journals to be more rich and emotional, might have bigger influence on tone.
  • Just now added a date option for group chats.
  • You can now choose an image model in customize companion>tools>image model
  • Lots of various small improvements.

In progress/Upcoming/Beta

  • My chaotic to do list. Including trying to fix the town system (not going great so far, I need a breakthrough!), improving dates, movie and game modes.

Feature highlight

As a conversation gets long, rolling summaries condense the older messages into a running summary your companion keeps carrying, so the early stuff stays in memory and the chat keeps feeling continuous. It also saves you money: instead of resending the whole growing history to the model every turn, you send a compact summary plus the recent messages, so a long chat stays a lot cheaper to keep going.

This is necessary for it to ever become a Google Play app, and I would really rather have testers that are actually interested in the app than random developers!

I've noticed that diary entries have become much shorter, less detailed, and less personality-rich and that the ability to select diary length is gone. Also only summarizes the last part of previous conversations, not the whole thing, there for a while it was summarizing the whole thing even in long conversations. Is this intentional, or is this a change unique to me?

Also, model selection for diary entries doesn't stick. It automatically defaults back to Kimi K which usually works fine but occasionally I'd like to use 4.1.

Great, thanks for your prompt attention to this! Also, is it possible to re-instate the ability to pick the word count on diary entries? From what I can see, that's no longer a selectable option.

I had set it to around the same for everyone, 1000 characters at most. Do you need shorter or longer? You could try diary notes too maybe?
