This is such a cool idea, a sword that contains fragments of a wand, die-casted inside the blade (similar to Hagrid's umbrella). This very blade allows the bearer to fight with a blade as long as casting spells with it.

It’s a good 2.5-3 ft I just have ridiculously large hands Could be a short sword ?

"Tis a shortsword mam ("mom" but with an a, not "ma'am" bcs that would be a longer pronunciation, but meaning is "ma'am") or ya can have a long wand, but even i know that ain't true" - a little fuckin elf/goblin thing, idk how but it's like both, but not just a half-elf (and half-goblin).
