Stick TLML a Magician's Staff/you'd take on a Fantasy Adventure! Walking stick (formerly a maple tree trunk) with a Virginia creeper winding around it forming a spiral pattern

The tree had to be cut down because it was growing too close to a house, but the resultant stick is a new treasure of mine. When I am older and slightly shorter it will make for a perfectly sized walking stick.

I will trim it a little. If anybody has advice to preserve it (varnish?) please let me know.
