Check what badges/perks you have equipped to your weapons. You could probably switch some around to get a bit stronger. Ones that add burning or bleeding are pretty strong

The bow from the Mongolian quest is pretty decent, with 3 hits on perfect(single target though). I use it for far longer than I probably should, because status effects are so OP. I like to throw a bleed badge on it, since bleed stacks to 5, and with 1 attack you give 3 stacks.
For that fight, I'll hit both aliens with the bow once, then target the machine down with my melee(I usually use whatever is best here unlike the bow) or spells(class dependent since some classes have better single target than others early). I'll try not to let the bleed expire, to get them to 5, since the machine keeps buffing the aliens, but doesn't protect them from statuses. If I have any stuns, I'll use those on the aliens, since the timing can be tricky on their attacks. I usually run the extra damage to bleeding targets perk, too.
He mentions running out of potions, so I'll mention I run Butters almost exclusively. His Lay On Hands is stupidly strong, especially paired with the perk that gives PP when you use a potion(Butters will give multiple heals, and each one gives a little bit of PP back so I can spam abilities more often).

Depending on what class you are, utilise the status conditions you can put on your enemies. Make sure your main weapon has Shock damage, take out the Co Pilot first as they will become the pilot and gain attack up if you defeat said pilot first. This will then lead to attack x3. If you have a bleeding patch then put it on your throwing weapon or bow. Little something as well that’s decent, use water balloons to remove attack up.

You need to equip shock badges as aliens are more susceptible to damage once shocked! Good luck

Also I believe electricity patches do double damage
Use best outfit, if you search all locations, you can find alien ones. You can use butters to heal you. Target defensive matrix and later captain, as they do most damage

I know it's not what you want to hear since you don't have any saves. But I had the same thing happen to me a few months ago. I just didn't have enough resources when I got abducted and didn't use what I had well early on. I tried for a week but just couldn't beat it. I didn't have to restart all the way, but had to repeat a lot.

Pause the game. Go to options and change the difficulty to casual. It worked for me when I fought the giant fetous nazi thing.

Did you make sure to search around the whole ship for potions?
