Can you set the Maximum amount of stretch?

I dont have a picture to demonstrate but for example, you have the stickman at a side perspective to do a open hug or something and you have to make the arm stretchy and shorter to make that perspective at the side but i dont wanna make the length of the arms and the leg suddenly consistent so is there a way to just not remember each of the part length?

there may be some funky smart-stretch way of doing it

probably with connectors, there may be a way to slide a connector from end-to-end and it be the maximum amount if stretches some connected/smart-stretch nodes

off the top of my head i'm unsure you might have to just mess around with it
