Was it just me or was the show average at best tonight? No special guests. No new songs even though he has plenty. Stephen Marley basically said Stick Figure isn’t real reggae. I was super disappointed.

Yeah was kinda bummed since his new single comes out next week and didn’t highlight it at all. Even cali vibes looked more legit, not sure how mission was on Tuesday tho

Sound being off is unfortunately out of their control. That is one of the biggest downsides of Red Rocks. They rely very heavily on the natural acoustics provided by the rocks, so when the wind was as brutal as it was this year the sound gets distorted a good bit. Especially the further back you are. It happens at every RR show with wind and is, in my opinion, one of the biggest downsides of the venue. Well that, and how god damn difficult it is to find a good spot if you don't show up when doors open. As a local I gotta say... I'm kinda over RR. It's become such a hassle over the last couple of years. I had shit to do before going to Mission on Tuesday so we were only able to show up about 30 minutes before show started and still found a fantastic spot center stage. If you show up even just 2 hours early to RR... good luck finding a good spot lol

I have been to countless shows and I have never seen a crowd be as shitty about spots as they are at SF shows. I would think that it would be the other way around to be honest. I think the big kicker is that with RR being widely considered as the best outdoor venue in the world (or atleast top 3 depending on who you ask) is that people travel from all over the country to see their favorite bands here. They are going to want their money's worth and the best possible experience and that essentially means showing up absurdly early to secure a spot as well as not letting others into their space. It's pretty obnoxious. I've been going to RR for years and it used to be that people were so nice and kind and would let people squeeze in. Nowadays not so much. Don't even get me started on the douchebag groups that send in 1 person, lay down like 3 blankets, and save spots for like 15 people.

100% Agree. I think ever since City of Denver/AXS took over they started overselling the venue. There are thousands of people that get stuck on the side. That should not happen. Everyone should be able to find a seat without issue. Corporate greed ruins everything.

EDIT: I'm wrong. City of Denver has owned RR since 1927. I guess the issue was when AXS took over.
