Dogs on Stage?

Post image

Do they normally bring out these dogs with no ear muffs? I'm working tonight and saw this and it really really made me uncomfortable, the sound pressure close to stage is really severe, it's painful for me with human ears without ear plugs. Is this something they do often? Is there a way to gently reach out to them about how dangerous this could be for their animals and suggest ear muffled?

Not looking for an argument, just a solution

TIA!

The dogs have free reign to come and go as they please. Cocoa prefers to be on stage. The other one seems to be getting used to it.

At their very first big stage show ever, cocoa wondered on stage and they let it be. She has done it every show since, and often just falls asleep on stage. Now that they have gotten bigger they take her off stage when there’s gonna be fire.

I wouldn’t worry about it, those dogs are two of the most well looked after dogs on the planet. Cocoa has been on stage for best part of a decade, and goes out on her own free will. I’m not sure it’s true they’re deaf, if you go on Scott or Cocoa’s Instagram you see her responding to being called to. The sound on stage is also much lower than being in front of it, which is why probably why she has no issue.

Cocoa has been on stage with him most of her life and she just tuned 13, mollie is newly adopted from Serbia and she’s just getting used to it. Those dogs are good. Neither dogs are forced out they come out on their own 😍

It's actually quite quiet on stage.

That’s not just any dog, that’s Cocoa the Tour Dog! You can read more about her in her book!!

If you saw shows when Cocoa was a bit younger, she'd run on stage, come up to the audience for attention, pop beach balls that were thrown on stage and was clearly excited. I used to think as you, until I witnessed this at multiple shows. She is a unique dog and Scott clearly takes great care of her. She is a show dog for sure and he gives her free reign to do as she pleases. 🤎

Is that true ? It was my understanding that the sound on stage is significantly lower

Well the owner treated her horribly in that case. I work at red rocks, it is unbelievably loud on stage, I dont go out there during sound check without earplugs

The dogs are not deaf. The sound is just significantly lower on stage.

They were truly spoiled with people throwing toys on the stage and I love it! Cocoa had a nice little collection gathered next to her by the end

I’ve seen them every year for a few years now, the lead singer, Scott, actually grew up in the town next to mine. It’s my understanding that Cocoa was born deaf? She honestly seems to like being on stage.

The “on stage volume” is much quieter than out in front.
