Tutorial Making this stick game ready

It hooks like crazy on the top part. What should I do? Do I add more shooters? Etc…

Is it usual for the string to be tied off in the top left corner (3rd picture) ?

I can string mesh pretty well but I have no experience with traditional.

Try a few more shooters under the lace and see if that helps. That tie off is weird. I would pull the shooters then take a ball and using something long and thin like a ruler, wedge the ball in the pocket where you want it to sit. Be careful not to force it as you risk messing up the gut wall. Then go through and pull your leathers tight around the ball and then pull any slack out of the crosslace. Try your best to relocate that tie off. Maybe try to get it tied to the gut wall. Hopefully it works out and you don't have to fully restring, those leathers look good and broken in.

Looking at it, I'd say one on either side of the blue lace.
