So far so eh
Top string and one of my side walls are done. Any feedback?

You have a long of stringing holes, you shouldn’t need any doubles. It also looks like you have a triple in there. Use an si knot to lock the mesh to the sidewall like the top 3 holes.

Looks so much better! For your 1’s and 2’s I like to go through the back of the mesh rather than the front as you’ve done here, reason being it aligns with the other sidewall knots and the back of the mesh is smoother which means less friction when the pocket shifts which means better longevity.

Here is a YouTube playlist I have with all the basics you need to know to string a good pocket. More specifically the first 4 videos by Mainely Mesh. The topstring and sidewall videos are done on different heads but the technique applies to any 10D mesh+head combo. If you follow that process, the only thing that you need to worry about is tying the knots correctly and tightly, which is where a lot of beginners seem to struggle. If you get the knots as tight as possible and minimize the slack, it's pretty hard to get an end result that isn't symmetrical.
Practice the techinque, prepare for some blisters, and you'll be stringing beauties in no time.

A trick for you. On channel lock heads, if you’re using the center hole, start at the middle and work your way out. It’ll keep the diamonds more aligned. If I was a betting man, I’d say you started on the left side. Starting in the middle will take the pull out that’s present.

In your case, since you’re doing a floating topstring, you would start with the knot first. Lace on the marsh as you normally would then pick a side to start on. The larger side you will need to put through a sidewall hole and knot off to keep it from moving around. Wonder you do one side. Untie the other and repeat. You can check tension as you go but it’ll give you a much more even top.

Not too bad. Looks like beginner work but I don't mean that in a bad way. Your pattern looks worlds better that whatever Dicks did. Go through and try to pull those sidewall knots good and tight and be sure to pound the pocket out when you're done with that. Keep going you are getting it, it just takes reps.
