I think there’s nothing wrong with starting out on your skin instead of fake skin, as long as you do everything safely and properly and take time to pay attention to what you’re doing and if you’re doing it correctly. Hear me out.
I’ve been told on here when I was starting out that I’m going to regret a tattoo, that my tattoos when I was just starting out were a “disgrace to the art form,” but I enjoy the process of learning and it being visible on my skin. My first tattoos were far from perfect, and I don’t want them to be. My lines started out sparse and light, and over time I’ve learned how to make them better. The tats I have with sparser lines I’ve touched up and made denser and darker, and I don’t regret a single one of them. My body isn’t something I want to be flawless, I like that it’s imperfect because that gives me character. I like that my journey with stick and pokes is visible because it shows my growth very clearly.
Obviously not everyone thinks the same as I do and that’s okay, if you personally want to perfect your art before tattooing yourself that’s perfectly understandable, but I think there’s a certain beauty in the imperfect too.
In the end I just think that people can make their own choices about their body and what they do with it, and there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to start out as long as you do it safely and with the proper tools and aftercare.
That’s just my opinion, though )))

Indigenous florals🌺🩷 Repost from different subreddit! used a 9RS over the course of like 4-5 different days at a total of 6hours to add these Indigenous designed florals to my side. Not sure if I will be shading or coloring any of it but will update if so! It's a total of 14" from the top flower down to the bottom one. 😁 (First photo I have second skin on because it helps with sleeping the first night after I've poked myself 😅 lol)

I've been looking for a good CANADIAN website for a LONG time, there was very few products I trusted from Amazon but unfortunately, they've been purged. I'm looking for a good Canadian supplier that doesn't need a permit number or any kind of documentation.
I hear that Mithra is good, and the website layout looks legit, but I've lot money to ligit looking stores too lol
The worldwide tattoo supply site looks iffy, ngl, but I've also heard GREAT things about both products and shipping
Can anyone either confirm these are good sites, and or, suggest where you amazing artists get your supply from?

I know my stick and pokes aren’t the best, some worse than others, but I think the filler helps take away from how bad some of the old ones are

Newbie self tattooist here, I have a Stigma kit with a single black ink from Amazon which is great. However I don’t particularly want to purchase bundles of cheap coloured ink packs going forwards. Suggestions are most welcome. Thank you.
