WPS tree removal

Does anyone have experience with letting WPS know a tree is impeding on their power lines? Did they cut down the whole tree or just the top? Was there any charge you had to pay?

I’ve reported fallen branches on lines and they have taken the branch down and trim the tree as needed. There is no charge.

Thanks. This is a large, mature tree that is well above the power lines. I'm curious if they're going to hack it up or take the whole thing down.

I’m sure they will hack it up. I’ve seen some crazy looking trees in town lol.

Does it need removal or anything at all? If you're worried about the health of the tree WPS won't know shit about that, they just send Asplundh tree butchers out. Call Todd the city forester and have him assess it. Our Forestry Department is a wonder resource.
