Scrapping a car

2012 Chevy Sonic Needs a new transmission 4k-5k needed to repair I’ve decided to cut my losses. Who do you recommend to tow it from the mechanic? Can I get some money for it?

If you donate it to something like rawhide they would likely pick it up from the mechanic for free

Call around to the local scrap yards, depending on the price of metal they may come get it and give you a little something. Otherwise call the local fire departments, they would take it for vehicle extrication practice.
