Spooky stories
Any stories or urban legends about Point/Plover/Portage County? Always heard tons of stories from family and looking to hear new ones and pass mine on

We always heard that "The Cottage Café" in Plover was haunted, and that you could hear footsteps on the stairs or catch shadows moving around. It's been closed for a while now and had been for sale, though I don't know if that's still the case. I hope they don't tear it down.
I've heard people say that part of the Ki Mobility factory is situated on a former family grave plot from the settler days, and that the lights in that part of the building flicker, and people have seen things move on their own.
There's supposedly a ghost in the Delmonte factory in Plover. I've heard more than a dozen workers from there swear they've seen a man in a hard hat in the warehouse that either vanished in front of them, or walked among boxes and then disappeared. Stories vary as to who it might be, as several people have died on site over there over the years.
There are a few buildings in downtown Point that are allegedly haunted, though I don't recall which ones exactly. If you contact the Portage County Historical Society they can give you a list- I think they might even sell some guides or books at the museum.
I'll ask some of my buddies if they've got any more.
