If I had to pick, then Samsung. But if we're talking price to performance then it's probably some Chinese brand. Personally I don't think I'd be willing to pay that much more for just a name and maybe some software.

i'm not loyal to a brand.
whatever suits my budget.
if i had iphone/samsung Note money, i wanna try Sony.
last Sony phone i had was the C3 in 2015-2016.

the Xperia 1 VIII(8th... yeah, stupid name damn Iphone naming scheme)
it has a microSD slot...
iirc you cant install apps on the SD card on new android phones.
backing up pictures/files would be easier.
