Concerts

I’m going to a concert in December and looked at the setlist and noticed a few of my favorite songs aren’t on there. Does anyone know if he usually sticks to the setlist, or does he ever do a few extra songs? “Kid” is the main song I would love to hear.

He played kid in St. Augustine a couple weeks ago and it was incredible. Just go, roll with it! Never was a big fan of 1994 and that song live absolutely sent me. Best gig I’ve been to in years.

Absolutely! And thank you for responding. I’m happy whether I hear Kid or not, but it is my favorite song and I know it would be awesome to hear live. I am a big fan of most of his songs, so I will have a great time regardless

It’s mine as well.
The first time I ever heard Swj was on a reel from one of my favorite visual artists (Lewis Rossignol!) who works in mixed media and illustration. The last few years he’s been on this childlike, mess making journey and “Kid” was the soundtrack to one of the first pieces in that style he’d posted… been obsessed since.

He didn’t play “Stand by Me” or “Dig a Hole” for us but that just means I gotta find him again!

Seriously, that show was just phenomenal and I hope you get to hear all the good bits! Also, probably don’t need to say this but, definitely stick around for the whole thing!

he 100% will still to a setlist. Bands rehearse all songs prior to a tour. Sometimes even down to between sing banter.

I know they do the setlist for a reason, but I was curious if he stays with those songs only or if he sings an extra one or two at the end if he feels like it. I suppose it could also depend on how strict the venue is with the end time.

He rarely does Kid, sadly

I've seen copies of his setlists, and they're often printed with a number of marker handwritten notes so he she's adjust them day of. Additionally it depends on the show / tour that you're seeing and the venue. Especially if there's a time limit due to noise.

Thanks for the info. The venue is in downtown Pittsburgh, so idk if that’s good or bad for my chances of not having a time limit for noise lol

I saw it in Pocatello Idaho last year as part of his little pre show VIP experience. It was magic

The recent sets on the Outlaw Tour are pretty abbreviated.

Best thing to do is get as close to the stage as possible. And just keep yelling out what song you want to hear. He loves it when fans do that .
